They both are equally good in off-road, where as Xterra will be better for road more as it's spacious and offer easy access to rear passengers than FJC. Suggest your friend Pajero 3.8, can be lot cheaper and amazing in desert with little front and rear bumper modification. Prado is also good in offroad, but not for regular offroading as it comes with way too many electronics these days and will cost much to maintain after a while. Pajero sport, Fortuner 4.0 are few other options to consider.

Sara auto care in al quoz do these type of upholstery works too and they are very neat and competitive too. I tried them for fixing my sagging alcantra head liner in Cayenne and they have done very good job in re-fixing whole roof without damaging anything. -
As a first level of response, check all caps are properly close when car is cold. Like engine oil cap, radiator and coolant bottle, fuel tank cap, and any other critical component caps.

That's a nice news indeed and I agree with desertdude, as no one really cared about 30-50 difference earlier. I many times got 50% tint preinstalled by previous owner in few cars and actually nothing happened. @Barry this could be little bad news for your new job......! Hope you still get through fine.
