And articles keep popping creating more confusion....i think best get booster (in any case required for own self) and get PCR done. Don't want to return back from border after having woken up at 4am on a weekend. @Zed they caught your loop hole in this article..🙂 https://english.alarabiya.net/coronavirus/2022/01/25/Abu-Dhabi-says-vaccinated-tourists-need-no-boosters-to-enter

Naice idea....will try as personally i find it irritating to carry it with lanyard and also not comfortable with it in cup holder...prefer to keep things at specific location all tied up at apt place. Cupholder is for coffee ...w🙂 was thinking of tying it on passenger side handle bar using cable ties, however i frequently have passengers with me so not a viable option. Couple of queries - the location you have for radio, doesn't it interfere while steering? Also the issue with external mic when you pull the cable must be putting quite a stress on Clip, since you have already tried on couple of drives, do share your feedback. Again as @Looper mentioned one gets used to it and there's never a super urgency, however i surely like the idea of having perfect spot for it.

Thanks @Niki thats surely a very imp point...was planning to buy one to connect with my Mean Mother compressor had this doubt if it will be any effective. Anyone using MM tried it? Believe @Srikumar@Anoop Nair you are using MM?

Hey @Zed believe that provision of 96 hrs is only for tourists....mid Jan the instructions mentioned need for Booster. I haven't been to AD since then so have no personal experience though. So any one visiting regularly might be able to advice. https://visitabudhabi.ae/en/plan-your-trip/covid-safe-travel

Thanks @Ale Vallecchi for a lovely drive and congratulations all for completing your first drive with Carnity and for some their first drive in desert. Surviving Prof Ale's class without any tears (okay, we had few today 😂) is no less joke and those who do, can be identified with "Never fight gravity" tattooed on their minds forever ...😊😊 Overall today we drove around 52Km at an awesome average moving speed of 19.6Km/hr ... Kudos to you all for this brilliant feat, especially as @Ale Vallecchi ensured that the convoy got a taste of almost all key elements of desert driving - going up and down some nice dunes, handling soft patches on regular occasions, side sloping as well as a bit of ridge riding and criss crossing - the ultimate test of a desert driver. @Harshal awesome drive today your Tundra flattened all the dunes enroute, RTA can now easily extend the road to deep in desert. Very well done. @Yerem Davtyan you handled your beautiful Tahoe very well through the drive, despite all the challange that vehicle threw at you. Hope you manage to fix the 4X4 engagement issue as well your tyre soon, looking forward to see you in NB drives. @Riyaz Mohammed impeccable day at work today. @JDub nothing is better than seeing a free flowing top less Jeep 😊 enjoying the sunny Dubai's winter morning in middle of desert. Was nice catching up with you, looking forward to see you in NB drives soon. @Ravi Kumar As someone once said "There's no fun in offroading if you aren't humbled by mother nature" ....key is to learn from every drive about our own self and our vehicles. Your Prado has immense power under the hood and we all at @Carnity are looking forward to see you unearth this hidden power over upcoming drives. Don't be scared, there's always sand at the other side of the dune...😂👍 @Sreenath Giridharan brilliant drive. Your past experience was very much visible through the drive @Salvador Perez was nice sharing that throne on top of that beautiful dune with you 😊 @fayazc @Aghabi from Sweep position i had limited visibility of your vehicle, of course from sounds on radio it was clear you had no much trouble through the drive. @fayazc the self recovery you did from that ridge was undoubtly beautiful. Very nicely handled. Again thanks all for making the drive fun. It was a beautiful day in desert and meeting new faces is what motivates me to join AN drives regularly. Hopefully we catch up very soon again. For those who enjoy stats, some details below for your reference (ignore the stop time, as i stopped recording a bit late while we were already inflating) Thanks @Kailas though you couldn't make it for the drive, the background work done before the drive ensured we have all had fun, smooth drive.

Quick Fist - to secure things on the rack

I have been using cable ties to hold quick fist in place (didn't want to drill holes). Been okay for almost 6 months now .. -

Thanks @Gaurav for lovely drive today and congratulations all for completing your first drive with Carnity and for many their first drive in desert - first ones are always special and i am sure you will remember this for long time. The terrain, the beautiful weather and the whole experience was worthy of Dubai's tag line "The Coolest Winter". Overall we travelled around 32Km covering a basic intro to various aspects of desert driving - side sloping, climbing up and down the dunes and @Gaurav ensured that even on Absolute Newbies drive we had a chance to experience some steep climbs through soft patches as well as Criss crossing - my fav element of desert driving. Despite the rain and windy weather, we travelled at a decent average moving speed of 13Km/hr, a reflection of how well you all handled your vehicle. From the CF position i could see a good mix of happy and at times nervous faces and that's what the experience and learning is all about - and in the end this mixed feeling is what leads to a sense of accomplishment at end of every drive. @Charles Wallace though you missed the fun of driving without roof 😂😂 you were a perfect SL and had a perfect drive. @Eli Zandro Hamoy @Zulfikhar Naiyar @Abdul Basit Khan you have powerful Nissans with you and you handled them very well. @Udit S check some videos and try using your deflator before the next drive, i think the deflator is fine - just need some handling tips and if you plan to go for Valve core extractor look for magnetic tip one - will ensure you will not lose the core. For the first desert drive you managed it really well - i could see the excitement through the drive and i am sure you will love exploring the Newbies drive on your Prado. @Shahzad Akbani for someone driving the FJ for less than a week you did really well, surely takes some time getting used to vehicle. You had couple of refusals, however i am sure as you would have noticed during reattempts it's just about approaching with the right momentum. Looking forward to see you on NB drives. @Sivakumar the relationship between you and your flag was on rocky terrain since the word go and wasn't meant to last long 😂 get a new one prior to the next drive and you are good to go @Kishore Venkat crests and stucks are integral part of offroading, you handled your Patrol really well. Reg your compressor, i believe it's the fuse issue and should be an easy fix. @Vinod Damodaran jeep on lift looks majestic and you handled it really well. 👍👍 @Andre Olivenca @Nasr.990 @hugo you three were simply awesome and had impecable drives. Thanks Hugo for being a perfect sweep and keeping the long convoy togather. Looking forward to see you all soon. As @Gaurav mentioned drive schedule is released at 11am every Monday and rsvp opens at 7pm. Watch out for it and as a general advice don't be late to RSVP, some of the drives get full within couple of minutes. Thanks for the lovely company on a beautiful day. Have a nice week ahead and hopefully we catch up again soon.

Hi @udit you can find some details on link below for deflator/guage and inflators.. ... Reg. Inflators can't recall that i ever found the gas station one close to exit point working or idle (if at all working)....so don't rely on that. In below link you will find some cheap option for inflator as well - though personally don't recommend them however just in case you want to try for couple of drive. @Shahzad Akbani fyr

Hi Marjan @Jeepie sad to know about your decision to leave. Have been pleasure interacting with you over numerous drives especially DCT... irrespective of our results your leadership and calm attitude made it a day to remember for us all. Have a great time ahead, we will miss you and hoping that we catch up sometime soon (try to join Richard over some drives once in a while). Cheers
