  1. @munkybizness @AlexM @Vaibhav @Waqas Parvez @Amr Aydin @Rob S @Morshedi @Ashok chaturvedi @Shaker @Trekado @Looper This is just to reconfirm that the meeting time is the same as what is mentioned on the drive post, i.e., 10 PM. See you at the starting point... Also, this area is prone to popouts and at night we will be doubling the chances of a popout. So the right tyre pressure would be play an even more critical role in today's drive.
  2. Sorry guys, the convoy wouldn't be increased for tonight. But I am going to keep the RSVP open just incase there is a last minute pullout (which I sincerely hope not so close to the drive). Convoy Numbering would be announced at the meeting point.
  3. The meeting point has been updated. Convoy Numbering would be informed a couple of hours prior to the drive. RSVP will be kept open till 5 PM tomorrow.
  4. Congratulations to @munkybizness @AlexM @Vaibhav @Waqas Parvez @Amr Aydin @Rob S @Morshedi @Ashok chaturvedi @Shaker @Trekado for passing the first speed test of 7 PM on Monday 😂 For the WL members @Charbel @Beide Worku @ASAD. @Santoso Marjuki @Tareq Al Turq @Senthil Kumar @H3 Joe @Daniel Yang do hang in there, as there might still be a chance and I will be keeping the drive RSVP open till Friday evening 5 PM. And if we are lucky on Friday night, we might have some UFO sightings in Area 53. At least that's what the legend says. 🤣
  5. This is a call to all those FB+ and above members who have adventured in Area 53 during daylight. Are you ready to up the challenge and try the same area at night?? If so, join in and expect an action packed fast paced drive through the bowls and pyramids of Area 53. We will be criss crossing, ridge riding, side sloping with only our headlights to guide us as we dance to the sweet music of our engine's roar. 7. With you guys christening this name as Mad Max, this is but obvious the drive that one should be in. Looking forward to an exciting drive with @Hisham Masaad 🤞
  8. Then one option is to change the rims to stock 17 inch of Pajero.
  9. Didnt you mention that you upgraded your tyre from a 265/60/R18 to a 265/70/R18. In that case the width of the tyre would remain the same. Was the 18 inch rim offset different from the 17inch?
  10. oh no....Zeddy with the Y62.....there goes what probably little would remain of the track..... 😜
  11. @Salim Akhtar you were a true superstar on Sunday to manage your car and the drive so well. Bravo!!
  12. I second what @Frederic has said that the Prado is the more capable offroader from the options that you have provided.
  13. Alright Sweihan boys and girls, we are less than 12 hours from the start of the drive. Convoy Numbering would be announced during the briefing. See you at 5:00 AM. P.S. Those who arrive late by the usual couple of minutes, will be volunteering for all the shoveling duties for tomorrow. 😂
  14. ofcourse, but dont get too cozy on a cool desert night as you still might not wake up on time

While I am still finalizing the route, would like to mention that due to temperatures crossing 40 deg. C by 9:00 AM, the starting time of the drive has been changed to 5:00 AM. As this means that you would be getting up at an unearthly hour, I will promise to do my best to ensure that your early morning rise was well worth it... 😜
  16. As a part of the Sweihan Adventures Series, we once again visit the quiet town of Yahar, an area that has still a lot to offer and explore. In sync with all previous Sweihan drives expect to find some huge bowls, long sideys and razor sharp ridges. So strap yourself for another an adrenaline pumping fast paced Fewbie+ drive. Drivers, start your engine!!! General Info This drive is organized in full compliance with the COVID19 guidelines. 18. General rule of thumb is that if you go 2" high you need to go 1" wide on each side.
  19. Yes, and the cameras in AD are set exact at the speed limit, so don't cross it.
  20. Thank you to all the drivers for a superb day in the desert. It was a long drive to reach the sand, but hey with no pain there is no gain. As mentioned in the briefing this was an area that I had in mind for the longest time, but perhaps it needed the kind of convoy that we had today to enjoy it to the fullest. A "warm up" at Old Lady Dune did set the tone for the drive, criss crossing on top of it was indeed special as you need a strong heart to do it, and I thank everyone for putting their trust and executing it so well. Some of those bowls and ridge were an absolute off-roaders delight and to have them so clean without bumps was like icing on a cake. @Warren Flay @Simon Dawood @ASAD. @Naveen Raj @ShereenMK @Gregory @Tom B @Mus_hus78@Karthikeyan Govindarajan once again thank you and look forward to seeing you on another episode of Sweihan Adventures. P.S. @Simon Dawood I second the suggestion of Warren 😂
  21. @Naveen Raj @Tom B @Warren Flay @Gregory @Mus_hus78 @ShereenMK @Simon Dawood @ASAD. @Karthikeyan Govindarajan WOW, that's now a strong FB+ convoy. With plenty of big dunes and bowls we are definitely going to be spoiled for choices. The scene is set for another fast paced roller coaster ride. See you boys in Sweihan !! Convoy Numbering 1. Srikumar - XJ 2. Warren Flay - Pajero SWB 3. Simon Dawood - Pajero LWB 4. Asad - Prado 5. Naveen - Pajero 6. Shereen MK - LC 7. Karthikeyan - LC 8. Gregory - Pajero 9. Tom B - LC 10. Mustafa - Pajero
  22. @ASAD. Mustafa has mentioned the nearest gas stations, but you will need to choose based on the route that you are planning to take. As regards to extra fuel, you would not need it. Just ensure that you are filled up your tank to the brim at the gas station near the meeting point.
