  1. Thanks @Shynil Hashim, yes a front and rear tow point is a mandatory requirement. Do keep us informed and you can let us know by tomorrow morning.
  2. @Shynil Hashim @Cale Hugill @Kassem Zaiter @Ishraque Ahammed Kindly introduce yourself with the following info: 1) Which 4x4 are you bringing ? 2) Any prior off-roading experience ? If so where and what ? 3) Please confirm your 4x4 has front and rear towpoints that are in perfect condition For your first drive, you would only need a pressure gauge, tyre deflator, and a compressor (the Qudra petrol station compressor is out of service). Please have a look at the Absolute Newbie briefing video posted in this topic: MUST WATCH: NEWBIE VIDEO BRIEFING And you will find more information about the various Offroad tools here: Do not hesitate to ask your questions here !
  3. @Daniel Rodas thank you for the introduction. Regarding the gears needed for your first offroad drive, you would need a deflator, pressure gauge and a compressor (the ADNOC Qudra gas station compressor is not working). Also, just to reconfirm that you have a tow point at the back and NOT a tow ball (that is used to connect a trailer).
  4. @Yahya Munir we are all bound by the same guideline of Carnity. I have attached the Carnity Guidelines with regards to the User profile for your reading. Only you can drive under your User ID.
  5. @Yahya Muniri as explained earlier by Frederic and then by Gaurav, the Absolute Newbie drive is reserved for first timers with Carnity. Please sign up for the Newbie drives, and in case if they are full, put your name on the Waitlist and the trip lead would add you if a space opens up. I am removing your name from this drive.

  19. Since you are increasing the profile of the tyre from 65 to 70, the overall size of the tyre would increase by an inch. So when you hit a hard bump, there might be a possibility that the tyre would hit the inner fender. if that's the case, you can increase the size of the bump stop by an inch which would help protect your fender. As per my knowledge the stock tyre in a Pajero is the largest tyre that can fit without any rubbing or hitting the fender. By the way do you drive the 3.5 or the 3.8?
  20. @Leon Haywood it's good to have a fellow XJite. We are an almost extinct breed and I am still trying to carry the flag as far it can possibly go. The below are my tow points: Front tow point Rear tow point
  21. This concepts should work well as long as they are properly bolted on to a steel frame. I am looking for something similar for my XJ
  22. Since the labor charges involved with a timing belt replacement is high, that's why normally the water pump is changed at the same time.
