  1. I really would have loved to @M.Seidam, but got some family coming over tomorrow. Will join you soon for sure.
  2. Keep your boot empty as parts keep following off from the LC 1000. It's a part of the design to shed weight before every long hill climb
  3. @Zed how come you are in the FB+ drive? Is the LC 1000 coughing too much after the last IM drive?
  4. A quick question to Wrangler owners, by bumping up to 35 inch tyres is regearing needed?
  5. I would take a slightly different approach, I would swap the 18 inch rims for smaller size, preferably 16 inch rims as a first step. This not only gives better flotation on the sand, but also opens more options to get tyres. Next, I would not increase the weight of the tyres any more than existing, especially if you would be using the car mainly for sand offroading wiht minimal rock. Aggressive pattern tyres help during self recovery, but are not great when doing long hill climbs.
  6. @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler could you please share the pictures and videos of us playing in that big bowl? I think your wife was taking them.
  7. Thank you everyone for a smashing morning. @Frederic @GauravSoni @Amr Aydin @Alexanderrr @Simon Dawood @Zed @Waqas Parvez @ASAD. @Vaibhav@DP1011 , Deepak wrangler @Anoop Nair @Tom B @Looper The heavy fog gave us all the rare moment where we could spend sometime having a few good laughs and chats, getting to know each other a little better. After loosing almost 2 hours of the planned drive time when the sun came out, it was in it's full glory creating TBH a pretty unbearable weather. However, with us able to start the drive it was just a little bump on what otherwise was a perfect day. As we were approaching Old Lady Dune to take in her blessing @GauravSoni messaged on the radio that his car was having issues. Since we were starting the drive already pretty late it was decided that's it would be best for him to exit out. Hope the issue is a minor one and that things are fixed pretty soon.. After Gaurav's exit we headed East closer to Al Ain airport where we were treated to 2 absolutely beautiful bowls. If the weather was not hot enough you could feel the added heat of each driver trying to climb higher and faster than the previous. 😂 What followed after was probably the best session of fast paced offroading I have been a part off. The criss crossings, sharp ridges, rolling dunes along with a fantastic bunch of drivers gave me the freedom to really push the limit. With the weather getting increasingly hot and since we had already offshot our planned exit time, it was decided to head to the tarmac. Thank you @Looper for taking care of the sweep duties, with so many heavy bulldozers in the convoys I am sure there would have been no tracks remaining. But it was very reassuring to know that you were at the back of a very long convoy. Finally to my very close buddy @Frederic thank you for joining this drive. It has been way too long since we have driven together on an IM drive. The moment you mentioned last Sunday that you were going to join, I was doubly excited for today's drive. We were only missing our 3rd musketeer @Gaurav, hopefully we can have another drive soon with all of us in it. Thank you Sweihan boys once again. Take care.
  8. Good afternoon Sweihan Boys, please find below your convoy numbering for tomorrow's drive. Convoy Numbering 1. Srikumar 2. Frederic 3. Amr Aydin 4. Alexanderr 5. Simon 6. Zed 7. Asad 8. Waqas 9. Vaibhav 10. Anoop 11. Deepak 12. Tom 13. Looper We shall be using Carnity Channel 3 for tomorrow's drive. As mentioned this morning in case of any delay ONLY due to fog, please put a message on the forum or you can give me a call on 0559567471. See you guys tomorrow at 6 AM for what promises to be a special ride.
  9. Yesterday evening was extremely humid resulting in the fog this morning. Lets keep the meeting time still at 6:00 AM, incase anyone is running a bit late (due to fog only), they can put a message on the forum or give me a call on 055-9567471 and we would wait for them. Please note that the speed cameras in Abu Dhabi reduce to 80 km/h in the event of fog, so please drive below that to avoid getting unnecessary fines.
  10. @Rob S as this is your first drive for the weekend, I have added you on the RSVP. Please confirm your partipation
  11. For those coming from E66, please take the below indicated route (via the Sweihan - Nahel E20 road), and then come through E16. The important thing is that you come via E16 to the entry point. Any other route (as shown below) coming from Al Ain city would take you through a dirt track for which you would need to deflate. Regarding the fuel stop, I would suggest to fill it till the brim at 960 or any other ADNOC on the route. A regular tank would more than suffice for this drive.
  12. Absolutely, that was a truly special drive thanks to all the drivers.. And I am sure with the quality of the drivers that we are going to have this weekend, things are set for a very special weekend.

  14. As a part of the Sweihan Adventures, this time we go down further south to the small town of Yahar that is famous for its reddish nature of sand and huge sized dunes. We did this track once with the FB+ boys, but this area would provide the perfect recipe for an adrenaline pumping Intermediate Drive. In this area we will find bowls, rolling dune and razor sharp ridges, so be prepared for another roller coaster ride. Drivers, Start your engine!!! 16. With 5 cars this drive should be pretty exciting.... Convoy numbering would be decided on the spot, see you there tomorrow evening.
