  3. You are absolutely right. And the one top I would like to give them is regarding the music volume. It's alright to listen to music but without disturbing someone else. Especially at night, i have noticed that generally my weekends goes on hearing loss music in cars driven by teenagers. I am now against music, but you don't have to make other people listen to your music, others are happy in their type of music.
  4. I need to replace the spark plugs in my car. What things do I need to take care of?
  5. Just for the knowledge i wanna know about gaskets. When does the gasket goes bad in the car. IS there any specific period of time that it lasts for or cause of any damage?

  7. Is it possible to exchange my old Nissan tiida with a new one from a dealer only? I don't really know if there is an after sale value genuine by dealer or not. Is there anyone who exchanged his old car to a new one but by the dealer itself and if you were OK with their deal.
  8. Ya. Pressure testing helps in finding the coolant leak. You can use a pressure tester to check the pressure in the cooling system. Attach the pressure tester tool to the radiator. If the radiator cap says 11 pounds, then pressurize the radiator to 11 lbs. If the coolant is leaking, then radiator won’t be able to handle the pressure for more than 10-15 min. Check for leaks on the radiator. If you cannot see the leak, then maybe there is internal leaking in the coolant.
  9. Compressor is working completely fine. It is something else for sure.
  10. I recently got my Ac recharged, but suddenly it stopped blowing cool air. Why is this happening?
  11. My car is 2011 model and i think it will look really good in my car. And its not only about improving the interiors but dahscam is really helpful specially while parking the car.
  12. Well brake disc and brake drums, they both are located at the same position, i.e., with the wheels. Brake disc is a disc shaped rotor which can be seen spinning with the wheel when you are driving the car. So when one applies brake, the brake pads are forced to squeeze against the disc that helps in slowing down the motion of the car. Brake drums on the other hand looks like a drum shaped rotor which is generally found open at the back. When you apply the brakes, the brake shoes which are under the brake drums are pushed and they are rubbed against the drum from inside. This is the main difference between brake disc and brake drums. The disc brakes are widely used in the cars because they are more effective than drum brakes. When the drives applies short brakes regularly, the brake shoes (used in drum brakes) generally tend to fade and results in braking failing very easily and quickly. Disc brakes on the other hand work effective in all types of weather as it is controlled by the calipers which push the brake pads against the disc brakes. You know the interesting fact? Many cars uses the disc brakes in front wheels and drum brakes in rear wheel. This is because when somebody applies brakes in the car, the weight of the car is pushed forward because of friction. So the brake pressure on the rear wheels is lesser than front wheel. So if one cannot afford to have disc brakes in all the four wheels, such cars are generally designed in this manner. Although, 4X4 segment cars uses disc brakes in all the four wheels as the weight of 4X4 cars is generally heavier than other segments. And sometimes it’s really difficult to handle the drum brakes in 4X4 segment car especially when you are driving in rain.
  13. To know if the power brake booster is leaking, you will realize that your brake pedal is firm and they have no power of braking left. When your brake’s stopping power is not sufficient, it means that the power brake booster is leaking from the vacuum hose.
  14. Actually there are many ways to look up for vacuum leak, but the easiest way is to use the smoke machine. You can find the smoke machine in any workshop. You can buy it or rent it. Spray the smoke on the intake manifold, hoses and gaskets. You will notice smoke seeping out for the leak. Use the UV light to see the leak and you will get it.
  15. Hey guys. I am thinking to install the dash cam in my Nissan Altima. Do you think it’s a good choice to do that?
  16. Checking engine oil level is very simple. When you do that, make sure the engine of the car is not hot. Open the hood of your car and check for the dipstick in the engine. Remove the dipstick and clean it nicely so that there is no oil on it. After cleaning it, dip it again and tale it out. You will realize the level of oil on the stick. Mostly the dipstick comes up with signs like min. /max. Or cross signs or L/H (low and high) which indicates at what level you need to put more oil in the engine.
  17. The seat belt is locked in my optima 2012 model. I cannot drive the car without a seat belt. Can anyone tell me what’s wrong and how can I get it fixed?
  18. I have Nissan tiida from 2 and half years and i love this car they way it is. Its a best car for my small family. Its like a small package but full package. My family loves this car and is comfortable enough for a long drive with family. I am really confident about this car, and planning to buy one more for my sister.
  19. I have nissan sunny from 5 years now. I like the car, but now its really old and thus experiencing some or other problem every week. last week the oil was leaking in the engine and i ended up paying a huge amount to stop the leakage. There are few problems in the brake and tyres as well. But to be true, i still like my car as it was my first car in Dubai.
  20. I really like Nissan Versa which is with a unique look from other nissan sedan cars. But ya, dont get confused between versa and sunny. There has been many news about the car that people were confused as they almost had a same structure. Nissan versa is a modified version. I think Versa justifies the sedan segment at the urge of style, looks and features
  21. I generally faced the problem with the battery terminal and alternator. Most of the times, the battery use to get failed because of corrosion. The only solution I had was to replace the battery. With the alternator, the voltmeter reading used to go very low as it was losing power. And s, replacement was the only option.
  22. Coolant leak is also common in radiator and the coolant reservoir. Also keep a note, if the coolant is leaking from these two places, there is no option to fix it, but to replace it.
  23. Did you car had an accident recently? And may be the brake pads are loose in your car that's why they are is no reaction of the brake pads on time. And did you ever get the brake pads changed before? If not, then may be its the time.
  24. Go to ramy trading in Deira opp Nissan showroom if you want real quality genuine rims, but they will be slightly expensive than the ones in sharjah.
  25. Hi Harry, with little overtime this problem happen and only solution is to open the terminal again and clean it properly with sand paper and bolt them again tightly. Due to acidic discharge overtime these metal terminal loose there metallic properties and get expanded with time. While re fixing if bolt is fully tight and still terminal is loose (quite possible) then you need new terminal itself. You can go to any battery shops in Deira or Satwa area in Dubai or Industrial area in Sharjah and get those terminal changed. It might cost 10-20 dhs for each terminal, but it will save lot of hassle if it get loosen up and stop charging your car battery. I changed mine six months back from Satwa -City Knight shop near Morjana plaza (04 3447470). Hope it helps. Good luck.
