Which is the BEST Car Insurance company in dubai?
osamad replied to porschesuperman's topic in Porsche Cayenne Forum in UAE
Go for nothing but RSA or AXA, fantastic insurance company with all the great features available like replacement car, agency repairs etc. And no fuss dealing with them. -
Check the bulb it must be fuse or some loose wiring hanging.

Porsche is expensive to maintain as compare to other cars. And cayman and boxter is slightly more expensive than cayene. However there are good porsche experts in town that you can visit and see which you like in terms of price and workmanship. Buying from automall is not a good idea if you have time in hand, then i suggest buying from real owners who has fsh with al nabooda. Automall cost 10-20% more than secondary market.

Why is the AC woring only on the top in my 1999 Boxter?
osamad replied to lukelaw's topic in Porsche Boxster Forum in UAE
you should go to AC experts that are in sharjah and ask him to check the lower duct as there is no problem with the cooling so it is only the duct that is faulty. -
where is cruise control fuse located
osamad replied to prassana's topic in Porsche Cayman Forum in UAE
fuse #17, the one that pertains to the auxiliary fan, bakcup lights, cruise control, some dash ligths. -
If music system fuse was blown then there is an indication of some some short circuit due to which it blew. let good electrical guy diagnose and find the short before it gets major.

car is taking longer time to warm up
osamad replied to summersain's topic in Porsche Cayman Forum in UAE
Better get the computer diagnostic done and see if any fault code showing. If not check the spark plug you are running is hot or cold? -
why change the sensor with the breaks
osamad replied to raidert's topic in Porsche Boxster Forum in UAE
They must have changed as a standard "best practice" to change brake pad with sensor's whether it was required or not. You as a owner should have also told them not changed sensor as it wasn't scratched and rubbed again disc and its perfectly fine for next use. And plus they should have also seen while replacing it and use their common sense of not changing it or at least asking you if you need it or not. -
The hood strut is nothing more than a ball and socket set up. There is a small steel clip that needs slid off for the strut to come off. Look closely where it mounts. I believe yours is a horseshoe shaped clip. With a small screwdriver, remove the clip and then the strut will come apart. Please make sure to have the hood safely propped up so it doesn't fall down on you when you disconnect the strut.
