  2. Congratulations @DANIEL NOGUEIRA. Time to polish the skills learned at newbie level and learn new tricks.
  3. Congratulations @Goutam. Time to polish your skills learned at the newbie level and learn new tricks.
  4. Thank you @Neale Faulkner for your kind permission. @Mohamed Seidam please post the video on your wonderful thread for all recoveries.
  5. Congratulations Dr @Chaitanya D for your first independent lead. Hope your Xterra a speedy recovery. @Lorenzo Candelpergher you are quickly building a reputation for yourself and I can see that you'll soon be leading a drive of your own. @Jorge Stepniak Felippe what tire pressure were you at this week? You can always experiment to go lower by 1 PSI, if you don't feel any difference or have a pop-out, you know 1 PSI higher is what is best for you. As an example I used to drive on 12 PSI until I was having to really push the car and still got refusals. So I went down to 11 PSI and no more refusals or having to push the car harder. So even 1 PSI makes a huge difference. I tried going down to 10 PSI without any difference felt so just stick to 11 PSI. Keep in mind that every tire and rim has its own dynamics and just because 8 PSI suits you on BF Goodrich on 15 inch rims on your beefy tires, will not work on less beefy Yokohama Geolandar AT. So if you ever change your tires you will need to experiment before reaching your perfect score again.
  6. Great video and yes it's a must share in your recovery thread @Mohamed Seidam. @Neale Faulkner awaiting your permission to use this video in the recovery thread.
  7. @Veedooshee you failed at writing a good trip report, you mentioned me only 7 times in your 7 lines. Hahaha. What a beautiful day with beautiful people all around. It was sad to learn that @Anish S was busy at work and could not join. Yet @Veedooshee did a marvelous job at second lead and it was good to see how far she's come since I last saw her. The greatest thing about her is her enthusiasm has not changed to learn and do better. @Brette thank you for allowing me to support your drive. It's a wonderful feeling when you coach and mentor someone and the day when you get to flavour their drive and get to support them to pay back in part for all the times they supported your drives. @Sinol great to see you out with your family. Sure there is a slight up in the difficulty level from newbie to Fewbie, but you seemed to handle most situations well. It was great to have you on the drive, 12 PSI would seem to be the right figure to maintain, just make sure your gauge is working and need to apply more throttle at times remember we are not on the roads anymore. Your Pajero needs to learn you need all the power it has on offer. @Syed Raza Hussain. Wow. Great enthusiasm and energy. Loved your smile throughout the morning. I believe you're having so much fun you didn't even realize the time fly by. @Rizwan Waheed you were awesome with your Pajero. However you need to lower the weight in the car to get more power available to get it moving. With the restricted power accessible to you still you did well for the major part of the trip. @Athula Dharmadada your JGC seems to be loving the way you're handling it. I've seen a good growth in your progress and you've really done well with the JGC. Hope the steering oil issue gets sorted out soon. @Craig Finlayson always a pleasure to drive with you. The energy you bring to any drive is incredible. Congratulations on your first rope recovery. Very nicely managed. Incredible patience and raw enjoyment of the terrain on offer. Well done buddy. @Gok Krish drive style is looking so much more confident with the Jeep Wrangler. Amazingly well done at the Fewbie level, seems you're enjoying and perfecting your skills at this level and the Wrangler has lots to do with it. @Ali Abas Ali seems to be very comfortable in a Toyota only he knows how to operate in the best way possible. He just keeps surprising me week after week as I tried his ride once and seems 1 button makes all the difference. Keep enjoying and keep conquering. @Neale Faulkner thank you for the Halloween scares. Lovely pic of you without your morning make up. Once again you and your Wrangler seem to be synced in and know what to expect from one another. Absolute treat to watch you murder those dunes. @Kailas is settling in with different responsibilities. This week it was the sweep duties and he did so well to keep everybody in convoy moving at all times. Finally, what do I say about @Rahimdad. He's such a wonderful and humorous person. Always adding life to a drive. The drive would have been half the fun without him. Catching up with @Frederic, @Foxtrot Oscar and @Pancho was the treat right at the end. Thank you for coming to Faya and blessing us with your presence. Really awesome time out with awesome weather and beautiful people. Love to all.
  8. It was great to ketchup with you, @Foxtrot Oscar and @Pancho.
  9. Yes. Just 2 words come to mind. Dig and drag. Don't lift that shovel of yours.
  10. Congratulations @Biju Abdul. Very pleased to see you rise the ranks to intermediate level. This is where you'll hmget loads of opportunity to sharpen your skills and opens up the world of discovery on one of @Ale Vallecchi adventurous exploration drives.
  11. Congratulations @Lorenzo Candelpergher. True off-road enthusiast and fellow relief seeker in the sea of dunes. The calm of the desert, the undivided attention to tackle every dune, the absolute perfect way to take your mind away from the daily hassles of life. Allowing people like us to come back to our working week with new energy, vigour and fresh mind with fresh ideas. Welcome to the side where it gets more engrossing during the week as we try to balance Carnity drives and everything else in between.
  12. Careful with removing fuses on the Xterra or installing a kill switch. @Shamil had installed a kill switch and initially his 4WD stopped working. There is a whole discussion of kill switch for the Xterra, just need to search for it. @Biju Abdul on our introduction video it's clearly mentioned to kill all electronics including ABS, TC and ESC.
  13. @Alexander Alcala we have always run all our desert cleanup campaigns with the help of Dubai and Sharjah Muncipality. Without their help we would not be able to clean up tonnes of rubbish in 2 - 3 hours. But at this point in time the safety of our community is at stake. I even remember @Ale Vallecchi family picking up plastic and dirt from a portion of the desert pre-Covid times, but I do not see this as something to do with the current situation. We will however monitor the situation from time to time and put forward a proposal to Dubai Muncipality as soon as the situation gets better.
  14. Thank you @Nivin for a very beautiful and heartfelt column on this never ending problem. We have arranged for several Desert Clean up drives in the past and would love to continue such efforts. However at this time due to Covid19 being rampant, there is no safe way of carrying out such exercise. Remember even on our normal drives we are following Covid19 precautions and not allowing anyone to step out of their cars if not really necessary. What we understand from the experts point of view is the PPE we need for 99% safety is very expensive. Even after spending so much there is still a 1% chance you might not be safe. Over the years we have realized that we could run Desert Clean up drives every week and never have enough drives for this purpose. The only way we can make things better is not by picking up someone's garbage, but to spread the awareness by speaking to people about the mess they create and the consequences. My humble request is not to get emotionally carried away and start picking up behind people. As seen not everybody follows Covid19 precautions and gather around in what can only be a Covid19 spreader event. You have no idea if the garbage left behind has any Covid19 traces and I'm sure even if you can survive it, there must be some children or elderly at your place who might not be able to fight the virus. Protect yourselves and your loved ones and spread the word on cleanliness not the virus.
  15. Congratulations on your promotion @Jorge Stepniak Felippe. Your white Wrangler seems to be amazing and the only thing more amazing is the way you managed it. Remember to deflate it down a bit more every time until you're more comfortable. With heavier tires more OSI will put more strain on your engine and transmission.
  16. Congratulations on you promotion @Islam Soliman. Enough said about what you and your GMC can do, you have impressed one and all by being persistent with your ride. At intermediate level you'll be learning and perfecting manoeuvres which need your full attention. Please make sure you have managed to switch off your side airbags as at this level with these American bemoths those are the first to go.
  17. Congratulations @Yusuf Esaf. Hope you continue to enjoy learning and perfecting your skills at this new level.
  18. Congratulations @Arda Yagcioglu. Hope you continue to enjoy learning and perfect your skills at this new level.
  19. Congratulations @Piotr Kolodziej. Hope you continue to enjoy learning and perfect your skills at this new level.
  20. Congratulations @Athula Dharmadada. Had only opportunity to drive with you once, hope you continue to enjoy learning and perfecting your skills at this new level.
