I used champion spark plugs on my Discovery and they were good, not so sure about the Jeep.

Totally agree with @Srikumar steam wash is the best. Full auto detailing even better. There are sprays in the US market to soften and rejuvenate rubber, not quite sure if I have seen any products here that would serve the purpose.

Trip Report - 13 cars on a Friday brings out the fear, all thanks to @Atif bhai for not bringing in his mobile cafeteria this morning. You were dearly missed. Everyone made it on time and I'm thankful to @Srikumar for taking over the briefing duties while I was filling up the tank. We were soon off after the brief and reached the deflation point with great weather. After deflation and convoy numbering we were off. Love this terrain for all level drivers as it offers something for all level drives. As I usually do we started off with some slow paced easy drive, but with great convoy movement we were able to reach our playground with the least of troubles. This I believe was the best part of the drive as everyone had a go and were left with an ear to ear smile and loads of confidence. This was evident with the fact that the drive level was picked up at this point and everyone faired very well. At this point we quickly crossed the pile ins and were heading towards the Fossil Rocks. We inspected the drop from Fossil Rocks and unanimous decision was to go around it. There were a couple of individuals where the Jeep Wrangler just went through, however the Xterra guy was struggling and we helped him down the drop. As decided we went around Fossil Rocks and just as we reached the other side we were crossing the same 2 guys. The one in the Xterra had a question for @Shamil and seems like they are going to join Carnity also. At this point we played on the front face of Fossil Rocks with soft sand it was not possible to climb very high. Soon we were done with the attempts and headed out. While driving out to the shaded area we had our first stuck, and the rope had to come out for the only one for this drive. After a quick recovery we were quickly headed to the trees. All managed well this quick drive and we found a nice shaded area. All the snacks and drinks were out and had an amazing chat and feedback session. Once the sun was on its peak and it was getting hot we moved out to the petrol station, inflated our tires and were back on our way home. Loved the company, loved the enthusiasm during the drive. Thanks for bringing this to our attention @Atif bhai. I hope all sorts out for you. This is very sad, but while there are some youngsters who are doing it just for thrills, there is a real threat of robberies and thefts taking place. @Atif bhai, all oils are good, but I would go with @Gaurav bhai choice of Mobil 1.

You could try Satwa and put Chrome instead of a repaint job. A good chrome cover should last you a while. plus give the car a nice look.

@Boney John welcome to Carnity Off road club. This is just an introduction drive to the sands. A completely stock Pajero is more than capable to handle the toughest offroad terrain. You're most welcome to join. That being said, just do yourself a huge favour. Remove the rear silver piece in the rear bumper, I think it's held by 4 nuts which can be easily removed. These tend to scoop sand and get bent on the normal drives. Looking forward to catching you on the sand this Friday.

Nice topic to touch on. This is great and always good to learn from others mistakes both offroad and on road. Firstly Toyota Corolla brake for apparently no reason, maybe distracted. If he had to stop it would be better to stop on hard shoulder. Secondly the Lancet was way too fast and also might have failed to notice the Corolla braking. Nasty accident, good thing is traffic around was aware and made good choices. Else it could have been a horrible pile up.

After the success of the last Absolute Newbie Drives and with the weather getting better over the last couple of weeks I am announcing this drive. However if no absolute newbies sign up we might up the level depending on the convoy signed up. This time we will drive in Maliha / Kalba area that offers perfect opportunity to learn in very safe and easy tracks to medium rolling dunes. Looking for an easy relaxing drive for everyone with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, hill climb, and ridge riding. Newbies and Fewbies will have a great chance to see and learn the real fun that off-roading offers in a very safe and organized environment. Since timing will be crucial I request everyone to respect everyone and be on time. Trip Report - What a wonderful time with amazing people and dreamy weather. From being on time, to the smiles, to following advice, all did very well. Starting on time from the meeting point and heading towards the deflation point was quick. The briefing was precise with great advise. @Gaurav bhai in lead followed by @Frederic, @Emmanuel, @Shamil, @AKR and me in the sweep. Some hot air balloons taking off while we had the brief was amazing. Starting with small, technical and white sand dunes we had a couple of stucks in the first 300 meters. However a good track adjustment saw us breeding through quickly with very few refusals heading towards the long range dunes. We were welcomed to the long range dunes with a beautiful sand formation. After a few cool pics we took off on dream slopes. Everyone managed well. We had so much fun that it's impossible to state that in words and I doubt that we got any action pics. At times We came across some soft patches, but the best was the "Leap of faith". It was blinding as you head to the top with a light and smooth jump, just enough to give you butterflies in the stomach. We would have loved to continue all day, but with a few more small technical dunes we took the path to the Love Lakes. It was a great break with great food and drinks and some nice chat. Just as the heat of the day was about to kick in we inflated and left. My best moments were seeing @Frederic gelling in with his daughter, I see her growing in confidence and love to see them bond. For me my hobbies have to be as follows. 1) Off-roading. 2) 10 pin bowling 3) Cricket 4) coin collection. I have coins which have already been discontinued including AED 5 coins from the 80s, special coins introduced by UAE, Dutch Builders, even some rare coins from the great Roman Empire one of the first forms of currency to be introduced to the world.
