So far so good. I find chance to test it yesterday Maleha - Fossil Rock. It was too hot to make off road actually. Because of that 2 times i got transmission over heat light. I stopped wait for few minutes and the light was gone. Maybe i have to put a transmission oil cooler or just avoid to drive it off road when it is 45C outside. Other than that it drived like dream. No refusal no stuck at all, very balanced and feeling of performance is not different than my old Cherokee. Good thing is my transmission is going P-R-N-D-2-1 on my old Cherokee 1 and 2 was together and it was up shifting. Now i dont have that problem with this car.

My father have same engined Grand Cherokee. It is beautiful. We bought it 60.000km currently 115.000km. So far no issue with engine or transmission. Electric trunk made issue and some bushes worned out. Generally beautiful. It will be way better than a Camry.

While this exploration happening I was in bidayer shop area. My friends asked me to take them famous orange sands. Than when we are heading back down one of my friend got stuck. I tried to help him but his car was looking upword and back side was looking to dune. Only chance to pulling him from front but I couldn't pull him upward. When I am trying I also got stuck. Later I found a way to take myself out from situation. Then I called the @EmVarlet and @Gaurav. After half hour Gaurav showed up and pull the car out with his winch. I want to thank him. He break his program and come to help us. It is good to fell that you have friends when you are in trouble.

Yesterday i found chance to test it. I went to Al Qudra for BBQ with my friend. He offer to make a small drive. I was thinking since it is bigger and slightly heavier than Cherokee it wont be that good but i am surprised that it did very well. It has good clearance even stock form i never got crested. It has enough power to climb. It is way far smoother than my old Cherokee. So far so good!

Ac was one of the thing. When i sold the car it was needing new engine mounts, new fuel rails, new suspension, New AC duct box, some bushes under the car, roof paint was bubbling, when it rains water was leaking inside. I knew that even if i fix it all soon some other thing will come up.

What i learn from my experience. If a Jeep already dead you cant fix it easily. You need to make full restoration which will be expensive and it is just not worth it. So better to buy a nice Jeep and keep it nice and good condition.

For me I am using it. From the day bought it at least 4-5 time in a week I open the top. Even yesterday night I was driving top down. I think only between June to end of September I won't use it. I am thinking opposite this is the best country to have one. If day time too hot I am using at night time. If nights too cold at winter I am using it day time.

Since i am having my SLK200 i am hearing many horror stories regarding the cabriolet cars. Like they are leaking water and when the car get old system is not working properly etc. There are 2 points you need to take care with your cabriolet to avoid these problems; 1-Use gummi pflege to keep your rubber seals maintained. There are many product you can use for that. Also it is better to apply this product all rubber seals around the car like doors and trunk to keep them in better condition. 2-Use lithium grease to keep your roof system move free. You need to apply lithium grease to every moving part of your roof system. There are many moving part in the roof system. If they wont move free they will cause your roof to be stuck. I bought the grease from carrefour. With this 2 easy step you can have a healty convertible car.

AC work. I prefer changing the engine or gearbox over doing any work on AC. It is expensive and it is hard to solve.

For me that is impossible to do. I don't have that time to visit those places time to time.

Wow how that happend? Normally if I am not have to I will not let anyone to drive my car. Sometimes there are restaurants having free valet parking and I am choosing to park myself and pay.

My car is 2009 SLK200. I bought it for 26.000. I am having it from November 2018 and i put 20.000km on it. At this last 20.000km i didnt spend single dirhem except regular oil change. Ac is perfectly cool. Ac has 5 fan speed i am never using above 2 because it is too cold. Everything holding together very well nothing broken or cracked and engine cooling also no issue so far. I am having the full service history of this car from Gargash. Before me also they didint spend any single dirhem except regular maintenance. I dont know what was the condition of your friend`s car and i dont know how he was using it. In Turkey we dont have Lexus for us Reliability = Mercedes.

V8 coming only with SLK55 AMG version. But i believe SLK350 enough for most of us.

Mercedes SLK350. It is 277hp but it is very small and light. Cornering like crazy, it is sticking to road.
