Sure @Yasirimam no issue.

These are very costly installations. Companies like ARB usually sell these. but you'll be easily at 6000AED to get it installed and working with compressor, piping, and the lockers itself + modifying the rear diff. For daily driver who needs these ? - Bluetooth (you can easily install after market radio with Bluetooth and apple carplay - Fog lights (in UAE, hardly ever used)

Looks like a very decent, and non-abused Xterra, could be your perfect offroader ! The standard model is totally fine, it does not come with a rear diff lock but that is not the end of the world, as many 4x4s dont have that anyways. I am not familiar with the current prices, i am sure other Xterra owners will chip in with more information.

Yes the user id and drive count is always related to the driver only, so we can track their personal progress and drive count, not the vehicle 😁. Thanks for understanding.

@Eduardo sos your drive count shows you have completed 1 drive already as driver, hence you cannot do this drive twice. If your friend wants to join this drive, he will have to create his own user ID and sign up for the drive.

Marjan, from the day you joined us, i have always remembered your perseverance and skills. Your drive leads have been impeccable, and you have supported numerous convoys and was a trusty companion within each position of the convoy. We always had great laughs, and you allowed me to brush up on my mother tongue regularly, so we could align with each other better at times. You will be sorely missed, and i hope you keep your TJ roaring in the sand, because that's what it's made for. I understand your reason for leaving and fully respect it. As much as we all have the passion to keep moving forward with the club, on each higher step on the ladder there comes more chores, demands, and rules along with it, and might take away the initial fun of hitting the sand. Carnity has been growing so extremely fast that we sometimes forget to clear our heads and just enjoy the ride. Take care and hope to see you in the sands nearby !

As a basic introduction, kindly reply to the following: 1) which 4x4 are you bringing ? 2) Do you have prior offroading experience ? If so please clarify 3) Does your vehicle have front and back towpoints ? This is mandatory before being eligible to join. Tools Needed For your very first drive with us, we would like to ask you to bring a pressure gauge, deflator tool, and a compressor to inflate your tyres after the drive. (the one near the gas station is usually defective). The next tools you will be needing from second drive onwards, are a walkie-talkie, offroad flag, and a decent shovel. If by any chance you have these tools already you are of course welcome to bring them along on your first drive. @Eduardo sos as per our records you have completed this Absolute Newbie drive before, so you will need to sign out, and get into one of the Newbie level drives for this weekend. That was the main reason why I didn’t go for them yet. Water, Sand, etc are all factors that might determine their performance and durability. In this case I would also assume a bit of WD40 every now and then would hopefully do the trick.

You will normally find them in ACE, Adventure HQ, or Speedex Hardware shops. The AOR branded ones are also good:

You have a few options: 1) Go for a full rebuilt if you are planning to keep the car. Yes it's more expensive but its only a one time job that will give you satisfaction for the coming years. (expect 10-12kAED cost) 2) Try to find a good scrapyard engine in Sharjah. This is tricky and you will need to have good connections with people that know their way around these places, otherwise you will drown inside the bottomless pit and wander around for days without a lead. A 3.8 Pajero engine of the 3rd generation Pajero might not be easy to find. Chances are that you will need to source 2-3 engines, built them in, and test them properly before deciding which ones runs best. This is a hassle for the mechanic as well. If you have time and don't need the car urgently this is however an option you can go for.

hi @Ayman Alqwasmi If you are planning to deactivate them for offroading, consider the following: 1) Frontal airbags dont need to be deactivated, they are here for your protection. 2) Side-airbags should be deactivated as they can activate during sideways dunecrossing. Usually, the fuse is located underneath the dashboard and labeled "AIRBAG"

Welcome to the club @Eduardo sos ! I would definitely advise you to keep your tyres as long as they are still fine. We have plenty of members that drive even high level drives with standard tyres.
