Infaz has been promoted to Fewbie level
Frederic replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Well done @Infaz!! See you soon! -
This was indeed a challenging morning, with fog reducing the visibility to less than 10m on the way to the meeting point. Once we finished the briefing, both convoys headed out for a spin in the foggy dunes. Due to the low visibility and the very compact sand, we had very little trouble and kept it easy by making nice loops in the beautiful dunes of Faya. We reached the foxes' den around 1hr and 15mins into the drive and took a break while trying to spot some foxes. My original plan of exiting at the Tilal Sweihan racetrack ADNOC worked out in the end as everyone drove like a champ and we were able to keep a good flow. I was kinda happy seeing @bruno.sousa getting crested and at least we could get some cardio in Thanks to the great support for @ChrisW and @Andrew John Melvill, and with @JC_E polishing my tracks, it was an extremely smooth drive and i actually loved the radio silence and scenic views. Even more so when some camels came to say hello during the drive. Thanks again to @Asif Hussain for taking a second convoy, which resulted in an empty waitlist and everyone having at least a drive this weekend. Much appreciated my friend. If you have some photos from the drive, feel free to post them in our gallery: Newbie - Starting Fresh in Al Fayah - Abu Dhabi - 04 Jan 2026 - Carnity.com See you all soon in the sands!

Thanks for the introduction! Many of us start with a suction-cup flag, which you will find in Dragon Mart. Hardware shops like ACE or Speedex also might have them. This is perfect to start with, and you can check with some other members who drive with the same car how they managed to install their flags.
