  1. With the advancements and changes in technology coming the next coming years, I wonder which car or model we should buy to keep as collectors item with price appreciation in mind ? Landcruiser 78 or 100 ? Defenders, Disco ? FJ cruiser ? other suggestions?
  2. That’s an attempt to battle the skyrocketing obesity and diabetes numbers in the Middle East. Full support from my side.
  3. Tesla has two options if I remember correctly: either the fast-charge option which only works on special Tesla charging points. or the regular 220volt plug. This however will take many hours to recharge but is how you recharge from your home at night. Amongst the management in our company we already agreed that whoever buys the first electric car, we will install a free charging station at our parking area. So with a radius of 3 to 400kms and the ability to charge overnight, the only time your electric car might become an issue when taking long trips to Oman or something. But even then there are workarounds for that.
  4. I’m a regular and happy customer of Specialised Auto Care In Al quoz that is very reasonable in price. i brought my wife’s 2008 Pajero for a full service for 200,000 kms that included spark plugs, all oils, water pump, drive belt, etc.. You can enquire with Rishikesh who runs the place with his brother but he might be still in India as he was getting married: +971 50 115 3454 Specialised Auto Care Near Al Quoz Mall, Ind. 5. The concept is quite simple: the gas pedal sends a linear output to the ECU. If you push your pedal in for 15%, then 15% signal is sent to the ECU. By connecting the Pedal Commander inbetween the gas pedal throttle sensor and the ECU, you are able to change that signal from linear to whatever signal you want. If you’re doing technical dunes for example and want your throttle response to be quick at the slightest touch of the pedal, than you select a setting that is more suitable and aggressive. Have a look at the chart.
  6. Does anyone has experience using the Pedal Commander ? I particularly like the Eco mode which could help you saving fuel, and the sport mode for faster throttle response. i like the fact that it’s plug and play and doesn’t mess with the ECU. It just connects between your throttle pedal. Looking into ways to make my 2008 Pajero a bit more quicker to respond. Now the power comes more slowly when pressing the pedal. https://www.pedalcommander.com/
  7. I’ve looked into that last year and the MUT-II protocol which was used in Mitsubishi from 1995-2003 is not compatible with MOST OBD scanners https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/other-mitsubishi-vehicles/678452-mut-over-obd2-elm327.html i remember checking all the EVO tuner forums and they suggested using the Evoscan software, but that requires a laptop, which defeats the purpose you’d want to use it for. The icarsoft I am not sure about, you would be best off emailing them with your car details so they verify it, but I doubt it will work.
  8. The old pajeros don’t support OBD open protocol, they are on MUT-II protocol. But there are converters from what I’ve heard.

  10. Isn’t this just regular white lithium grease ?
  11. That will be the version where, whilst using all the possible key combinations on your controller, you’ll need to shift, look away from the flashing cameras, and top up your salik at the same time !
  12. I’m currently exploring beautiful Sri Lanka (not off-roading) and will be back end of the month. Missing you guys, and the sand between my toes 😂

    New music

Tool is one of the very few bands that still amaze me and deliver stuff that’s far beyond others.
  14. @adil I only have wonderful memories from my visits to Oman and I absolutely adore the hospitality and helpful attitude of the people. My comment about the drivers is not meant in a bad way, but as you know there are far less speed cameras installed and i felt the driving by the Omani locals was sometimes really crazy. And yes that might young people mainly but they mess it up for the others.
  15. Not yet. But i just run out of momentum while i'm at 6000rpm in 1st gear. Tried with central difflock on the last time and was slightly better, but very marginal. Rear difflock can only be engaged in low gear and is too tricky for climbing a hill as you can seriously damage your diff if you go to fast or if there's too much friction inbetween the rear wheels.
  16. I know... it all depends on the mood of my car, myself, and the amount of anti matter in the atmosphere at that time 🤪
  17. Yes that’s a good remark. Also check if the unit accepts MP3 only or not. You might have other audio formats on that cards like M4a, AAC, Wmv, etc... that the unit is having difficulty with.
  18. * Check your visa requirements and Oman insurance coverage. * Omani drivers can be pretty wild. Be careful, keep distance, and do not provoke. * Keep an eye out for petrol stations and refuel in time.
  19. Hi @desertdude have a look on following link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g85g7wd3lvll7zk/AABCCjmXX2L4SsE7rptCC1MFa?dl=0
  20. Many German cars don't come with a spare tyre anymore, so i bought two of these cans to keep with me in case of a flat tyre. Never used them so if anybody wants them let me know.
  21. Mine comes and goes depends who I’m talking too.
