  2. TAKE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN OFFROAD DRIVE. HIKE DESCRIPTION Hiking 🥾🥾is one of the most invigorating ways to stay fit, and for us off-roaders, the desert dunes are the perfect playground. We’ll kick off the adventure from the backside of the Last Exit Qudra parking, where we’ll leave our cars behind and venture into the peaceful lakes area and surrounding dunes. Expect to see wild gazelles, 🦌 a variety of birds 🐦, and the unique desert landscape unfolding before you.🌄 The hike will last about 90 minutes, covering roughly 7 kilometers—mixing stretches of solid ground with the challenge of walking on soft, shifting sand (perfect for building endurance). As we finish, we’ll pass by the small supermarket at the parking, where you can grab a refreshing drink and freshen up at the washrooms. It’s not just about getting your steps in—it's a chance to connect with nature, breathe in the crisp air, and burn those winter calories. Bring your friends, family, or anyone who’s up for an adventure. The dunes are waiting!🌄 MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy HIKE DETAILS Level: Easy. 10. Fantastic news @Benje_Junior ! You’ve been the rising star in our Carnity family firmament for a while now, and I look forward to seeing you leading convoys and planning drives ! Your calm and mature approach to any challenge will be a fantastic example for others. All the best !!
  11. Absolutely deserved @davie c smooth operator ! From the first Masterclass, where i tried to throw you into the technical dunes which you sailed through effortlessly, i realized that together with a superb skillset, you came with a very humble approach to off-roading. You've always been open to improving and picked up things so easily. We can be so proud of having you as our lead and i hope you realize becoming Marshal is not the end station but only a beginning. Be ready to explore more, go further, and help us to grow Carnity further as well. Take care and see you very soon in the sands !
  12. Thank you all for joining guys! We started off north of Nahel, which had a bit more vegetation than i could remember from the past. It has been a while since i visited the area. As we had a rather sizeable convoy, it was at times a bit difficult to keep the convoy flowing, but you guys all drove amazing. Since we came to know there was some kind of event happening on the west-side of Nahel, i decided to head south and then east-wards, making our way towards Ghafeteen bowl through some narrow technical dunes that everyone managed brilliantly. With great support from @DP1011, @Zed, and superb second lead from @Luke K P, we worked as a tight unit and exited perfectly on time. The pace was perhaps a bit lower than what i usually do, mainly due to the large convoy that got stretched whenever we decided to ramp up the speed intensity. In any case i had great fun and hope you all had too. See you soon in the sands !
  13. DRIVE RSVP IS NOW CLOSED @Luke K P@Zak_@Ahmed Farouk@ChrisW@nithish468@Bjoern@Sandeep Nayar@Aser@Andrei S@Zed@Alphin Aloor@Deepak Eswar@Brett Eicher@Richard Franks@DP1011 It's a bit of a long convoy for a Fewbie Plus Ride, but i am sure with the great support we will manage We will be using Channel 5- 446.10625 Mhz. See you all tomorrow morning !
  14. Yes absolutely. I don’t see us retiring from off-roading soon, but that’s why perhaps we can in the future transition the club into offering a plethora of activities. From hiking to cycling / mountain biking, wadi walking, fishing, and anything in between We just need a few people to take the lead. We have a club, we have members, and we have a platform. With such a fantastic community we can pull off many adventures.
  15. The bumper was still clean then
  16. Would there be interest for a monthly hike through the dunes, and occasionally even in the wadis coming winter? 3-4hrs, basic physical condition. We leave the 4x4 on the nearest parking and do a 3-4hr hike through the dunes. Afterwards a coffee or sitdown at the car or petrol station. Areas: - Qudra lakes and Last exit area - Faqa arboretum - Al Ajban - Fayah (AD) - Wadis and mountains From a sustainability perspective, we can assume that a convoy of 10 vehicles with petrol engines would consume around 400kg of CO2 on a typical morning drive (50km offroad). Being able to go out on a hike and still enjoy the dunes would improve overall health and save those 400kg CO2 as well CO2 emissions calculator: Calculate your carbon emissions | myclimate
