This is tricky and you will need to have good connections with people that know their way around these places, otherwise you will drown inside the bottomless pit and wander around for days without a lead. A 3.8 Pajero engine of the 3rd generation Pajero might not be easy to find. Chances are that you will need to source 2-3 engines, built them in, and test them properly before deciding which ones runs best. This is a hassle for the mechanic as well. hi @Ayman Alqwasmi If you are planning to deactivate them for offroading, consider the following: 1) Frontal airbags dont need to be deactivated, they are here for your protection. 2) Side-airbags should be deactivated as they can activate during sideways dunecrossing. Usually, the fuse is located underneath the dashboard and labeled "AIRBAG"

Combining a daily driver / family car and weekend offroader is possible with the Patrol Y62. However considering the fact this will also mean your bumpers will need to be cut/trimmed, and some mods will be needed, perhaps another option would be to buy a good family 7-seater SUV, and buy a separate weekend offroad toy that you can bash around without too much heartpain. I have a regular commuter car that takes me to work, is not stuffed with sand from the weekend drive, consumes a lot less on road, and is low on maintenance. On the weekend i take out my little Pajero and then the adventure starts. Just think about it.

Ive seen it for sale. I have the manual gear model 3.0 that’s a bit underpowered but is a blast to drive off-road. This one looks well taken care of, but like any 4x4 of this age you’ll need to be prepared to spend some extra money and find a mechanic that’s willing to go the extra mile to find the parts that are getting rare. This was my daily driver for more than two years as well and never let me down. Points of attention are the suspension bushings, cv joints/axles, 4x4 vacuum solenoids, and make sure the engine runs fine and gets good fluids every time without fail. Apart from that these cars are bulletproof and massively underrated. 13k is a good price if all these things are in good condition.

Drive Report These are that type drives i love the most. Meandering through unknown terrain, enjoying the scenic views of members shoveling away, and making our way towards the mountains on a snail pace ! The first part consisted of some technical areas that were tricky to navigate as the sand was extremely soft, and there was only very little room for error. Many of you were probably wondering if that shoveling and tugging was really meant to be in a scenic drive But alas, we had fun, learnt a lot, and by noon time we could take some deserved rest in Falaj Al Moalla town. The second part consisted more of an easy farm trail towards Al Ghail Industrial Area, in where i absolutely love the scenery. The mountain trail / river bed rattled and shook us all the way up to Asimah, a little town north of Masafi. We exited just in time, and i was delighted to see the many smiling faces after such a long day ! You guys all did amazing. Special thanks to @varunmehndirattafor being my support, always ready to help with a smile ! @Stav was the perfect second lead and was also in for good support. Thanks buddy ! @Mikhail Lukichev as my wingman at the back.
