Pajero central differential lock light flashing
Frederic replied to Sidshk's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
This is a totally different scenario compared with your first post 🤔 Sounds more like a misfiring issue now. What did the OBD scan show ? -

Absolute Newbie/Newbie drive Maliha 4 Oct

Welcome to Carnity ! The following items are recommended for every drive, but if you don’t have them yet, let us know so we can advise you. - Air Compressor - Shovel (full size laborer shovel , not a small foldable one) - Two way UHF radio with ability to set the manual frequency. (We use 462.8875 MHz). - Off-road flag. - Sufficient water and smiles. We have spare radios for new joiners and for your first drive only the compressor and a shovel will do. You’ll find tons of information on our forum on these advised items, where to buy, type, model, etc. But don’t hesitate to ask. See you on Friday ! Hey Xaf welcome back buddy ! See you on Friday ! -
Pajero central differential lock light flashing
Frederic replied to Sidshk's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
One GOLDEN tip for any Pajero 4x4 that doesn’t go off-road often: once a week, switch between the 2WD, 4H, 4HLc, and 4Lo setting for while. The solenoids and vacuum actuators tend to seize after a while when not being used regularly. -

Yes, that is definitely possible and could explain the higher vibration. -
Pajero central differential lock light flashing

Could you go to a small patch of sand and actually try if your car is in 2WD or 4WD ? Just by quickly accelerating you will see if all tyres spin, or only the rear ones. Driving in 4WD on road will give more vibration. -
Pajero central differential lock light flashing

Copied from earlier post: You'll find lots of information on the wise web about this common Pajero issue. it's either: 1) The solenoids which are located in the engine compartment 2) The vacuum hoses between solenoid and the diaphragm 3) Stuck actuator (piston) that engages or disengages 4WD 4) Vacuum operated diaphragm 5) Sensor on the transfer case. For some more information (there might be slight differences between the Pajero generations) http://4wd.blogeasy.com/article.view.run?articleID=318776 PS Do note that: * On the Gen2 and Gen2.5 models (like mine and @Gaurav) the 4WD engaging is done purely 100% mechanical, so the sensors cannot cause real issues, they are only there as feedback for your dashboard indication. Only the switching between 2WD and 4WD is done with vacuum actuators. * On the later Pajero models, all functionality of switching between 4Lo, 4H, 4HLC, or 2WD is done by solenoids, because your 4WD shifter is not a mechically engaging unit. These models are more prone to issues, and the blinking lights really do mean something went wrong. -

Looks like your Central diff is still engaged. That probably causes the vibration while driving it on road (not advisable !). How does the car drive in 2WD ? -
Thanks guys. Taking into account the many positive reviews of RSA and also my good experience with them I will stick with them. I got revised offer with roadside cover in it just now.

I used my little Pajero for Oman trips previous years, but since we bought the big LWB Pajero we use that one for our Oman adventures.

Haven't used them yet, so i can't really comment on it. From an environmental point of view i don't see the need, as the carwash has filtration units and recycle the water. If they would ask me to wash my car without water, i would: 1) Use compressed air or fans to completely remove all debris, dust, sand (which is already the biggest challenge). 2) Apply a certain chemical that loosens up the stuff that does not come off. 3) Use very soft microfiber cloth to clean the car. The FACT is that water will become the new gold in a matter of time, so eventually we will need to look at different ways.

1) Music. Listening to almost all genres of music since I was a small kid. Unfortunately never had the talent nor the patience to learn to play an instrument. Deejayed for 15+ years for private parties and few years in clubs. 2) Hifi and Sound. Former hobby where i was installing sound systems in cars and houses. 3) DIY repairs. Always have stuff laying around the house to fiddle with or repair. 4) Dogs. Totally in love with my two Salukis and walking them calms me down 5) Offroading with Carnity and camping during winter season. Absolutely love it. Exploring Oman is also part of that. IF I’d have more time and money I’d look into: - Astronomy - Overlanding - Music production - Collecting old cars - Photography

Off-Road GPS Apps: MotionX vs Gaia Review
Frederic replied to Frederic's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
UPDATE: for the GaiaGps app users, the Google Maps like Satellite, Terrain, or Hybrid, which is my favorite, are not standard built in, but can easily be added by using the GaiaGps website. This is the procedure: While logged into Gaiagps.com, add a custom map source via TMS here:https://www.gaiagps.com/mapsource/add/ And use this TMS URL to get Google Terrain:https://mt0.google.com/vt/lyrs=p&hl=en&x={x}&y={y}&z={z}&s=Ga Then hit "add this map source" and the saved map should show up in your Gaia app the next time you sync. Some other map links: Google Maps: https://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=r&x={x}&y={y}&z={z} Google Satellite:https://www.google.cn/maps/vt?lyrs=s@189&gl=cn&x={x}&y={y}&z={z} Google Satellite Hybrid:https://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=y&x={x}&y={y}&z={z} Google Terrain:https://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=t&x={x}&y={y}&z={z} Google Roads:https://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=h&x={x}&y={y}&z={z} ESRI Sattelite Imagery:https://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Imagery/MapServer/tile/{z}/{y}/{x} -
Vibration at Low Speed and Idling
Frederic replied to Sidshk's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
I’ve never heard about a belt that has to settle in. 🤔 Where do you notice the vibration ? On the steering wheel, the whole car ? Is there a noise that comes with it ? Is the car running fine and stable on idle ? -
