  1. That was indeed a great morning out! With the help of @Mark Band @Mike M. to keep the flow throughout the drive, we managed to cover quite some ground. The original plan was to exit a bit further south, but as time was moving quickly i decided to head straight to the exit. All of you drove extremely well today. I just hope the 5 door Jimney we came across made it up that hill eventually 🤣 Fantastic second lead and help by @J-P L as well. It's always re-assuring that i have you behind me to polish my tracks, and the result showed in the minimal issues. After inflation, we were approached by a driver who got his delivery truck stuck on a dirt track across the road. @Mark Band @Myrko decided to deflate again and help out, and we headed onto the dirt track to go and have a look. The driver was determined that he wanted to go further straight, but Mark towed him a few meters backwards (which made the most sense) and got him out with the winch. Thanks guys for the help and for deflating again. I was too lazy to inflate with the compressor for the second time so drove down to the nearest ADNOC Enjoy the remainder of the weekend and see you all soon in the sand again ! With the help of our Support @Mark B and @Mike M. we are aiming for a smooth drive across Dubai and Abu-Dhabi. You can consider this drive to be a bit more scenic, and not a dune bashing style of drive. A few pointers: 1. Please arrive on time, preferably around 05.45AM so you have to deflate and set up the flag. Briefing will start on 06AM. 2. We will be using Channel 4: 446.081Mhz. Please make sure to bring your radio and flag. See you all tomorrow morning! Fred

  5. A nice morning out! Everyone made it on time, and after a short briefing we hit the dunes with a good pace over the various rolling dunes the area has to offer. With hardly any refusals and no stucks, we reached Pink Rock itself very quickly, and took our first break with the fantastic views it had to offer. I decided to head further south towards the various bigger dunes that lay on our way towards Big Red. As my trusty Trooper had been in the shop for 5 weeks, this drive was for me a bit of a shakedown and i had to keep a close watch to the engine temperatures. Luckily everything was fine. We did various climbs, loops, and sideys, and everyone managed brilliantly. While i was contemplating to head over to Big Red, @Vijaya Kumar Doppa his daughter was feeling unwell, probably from the rollercoaster effects passenger undergo on these kinds of drives. I hope she is feeling better now and can join us again in the future. We still had some time left while taking Vijaya to the exit, but i decided not to push our luck by heading towards Big Red, as i knew that area requires multiple high-powered climbs and the temperature was inching closer to 40 degrees now. We exited all together on a drive that was a bit shorter than my usual drives, but that also meant it was still doable to inflate, and perhaps some of us could go and enjoy a breakfast @vinayak n you were brilliant as second lead, always keeping enough distance and reacting quickly whenever i had to do little reroutes. @Ishak you had an easy job today, so you can save your energy for next week's leaders lead @J-P L was my original sweep, and i was sure you'd been fine sweeping us, but @Imteeaz was the second sweep today and it was a great sight today to see a Jimney and a Patrol closing our ranks like brothers in arms. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 With the summer temperatures increasing we will need to be mindful of our cars, as the strain of climbing bigger dunes at +40C degrees is quite taxing on our cars. I've been in this hobby for 8 years now and learned when to push and when to let the car cool down. During both breaks we took, my engine temperature dropped from 96 quickly back to 88, and that helped a lot to tackle the last bigger dunes before we exited. I recommend everyone to keep a close watch on your engine and transmission temperatures coming summer, and if in doubt to get it checked out. See you all in the dunes again soon!
