    1.Always check all fluids before heading to Desert 2.If anything covering the passage of Air to radiator remove it. 3.Keep the radiator clean (Atleast use water to clean it after a drive) 4.Always keep a sprayer with water in vehicle. 5.Finally a big big no. “When ever the temp gauge start rising - Be cautious ,Monitor constantly, when its beyond the level announce on the radio and immediately stop the vehicle for assistance” 6. Use the heater to dissipate heat instantly. 7.Never take car to extreme level if you have any trouble with machine as we are testing the maximum output. 8.Never Open radiator cap and pour coolant immediately after engine heats up.(it will kill it). ”This is the Mistake everyone commits” just my few cents .

    If you are going for a jeep i would always suggest to go for either 3.6 pentastar engine or 4L 2006 jeep. Heard that 3.8 has a lot of issues. jeepers are not recommending for 2006-2012 engine 3.8.

    If you are really looking into a pathfinder search for 2004/2005 as they have bulletproof ECM and Maf sensor for gcc models. Go for a really good one even if the price seems high.Scrap pathfinder engine costs 800-1000 maximum. If u have manual i would suggest getting a manual one. Note:- i would suggest build an engine/transmission(manual) so you are tension free (if u intent to abuse your toy n desert).
