  1. Thanks for sharing, it looks very cool. Added to the list
  2. Hey @Frederic , if I get all that kit I’ll be better set up than the local mechanic 😅 Do you offer a car maintenance course too ? 😜
  3. Ah Ha! Where there is a question there is a thread by Fred
  4. I noticed this recently in the grading structure and was looking for some clarification. GPS- I assume the app on the phone is sufficient? Floor jack and jack board,- Is the floor jack a trolley jack or is a bottle jack sufficient? I know trolley jacks are preferred but it's not specified tool box - a box of tools....which tools exactly? Ratchets? Spanners ? Hammer? Screwdrivers? Socket set? Jump Leads? What? I have a tool box under my sink which I doubt is what is required so, what should an offroader have in their toolbox? tie-down straps - do you mean ratchet straps? fluids.- brake fluid? Coolant? Oil? Transmission Fluid? Power Steering Fluid? Which fluids? Many thanks in advance
  5. Amazing!! I'm so happy it was just an easy fix! You are most welcome @Frederic doing the recce was an absolute buzz and the highlight of this weekend's driving for me personally, even although I was just the co-pilot. To be let loose like that was such a thrill. Thanks for the vote of confidence and for entrusting us with such an important task.
  6. Shout out to @Najeeb Mohammed who demonstrated his awesome ‘crawl’ function on the cruiser . That was great to see ! Handy gadget!
  7. Another great drive , many thanks to @Srikumar for planning the route and leading us through some challenging dunes with lots of bowls . The sand wasn’t very forgiving at all and I think we all had to check our tyre pressure, re route , get a shovel or even a wee tug . But such are the conditions and this is just the reality of desert driving The new X continues to present problems in terms of the power , but hopefully that will be remedied soon enough and it certainly didn’t spoil my enjoyment , just made it a little more challenging . I just need to add that it was a really nice community of drivers this morning with everyone showing patience and a willingness to help each other . That’s the Carnity spirit 🥰
  8. Hi @Lisa Pemberton welcome aboard ! I use one very large hold-all for everything. The compressor sits at one side, Recovery ropes and shackles in the middle , I put the tools in a small backpack , the jack and wrench in another , which sit on the right hand side and small pieces deflators etc are in the hold-all pockets. The shovel sits on top of it all with the handles of the hold-all keeping it in place and then I then use one of those nets hooked down really tightly to secure the hold-all
  9. Good plan! Thanks , it’s done 100k and has FSH from the agency
  10. My first thought was the plugs but then I thought the throttle. That’s the very video I was watching . I’m gonna have a look myself later before I do anything at the garage I’m hoping it’s a simple easy fix
  11. @Barry thanks for this , I obviously haven’t because I don’t own such a device , but I shall have a look today just to develop my own very basic skills and then take it to the mechanic to sort out . god bless YouTube 😅
