    Thanks for your feedback.

We have added these 4 feed selection options on the homepage for your convenience.

    carforum.jpgoffroadfeed.jpggenfeed.jpgmotorfeed.jpg

    just my opinion

instead of 4 feed selections i would suggest 2 feed selections.

    1.  Dedicated to off-road club for drive notifications, promotions, covid 19 compliant rules for drives, Etc.

    2. Another feed button for all other topics.

i guess none of the above 4 feed button does this simple filter and i think original request from trek was this.

i feel like all the information or threads in above 4 feeds are equally important to many of us. also i feel topics under each feed look similar and dont needs to be spread out.

I was just about to say the EXACT same thing. I agree the Montero Sport ticks all the boxes. Fun to drive, modern, less bulky than the Pajero, good offroader....

yes exactly. if @Bhaskar is not into hardcore offroad or dune bashing, this is really good deal.

but 1 small thing to consider is poor resale value compared to Toyota, But better than Jeep i guess.

Keep that plate number when you are selling your car. I was getting a C plate number if i choose another Xterra over the one i choose now. But cleaner car is better than a good plate number.

Yes I’m having this plate for almost 8 years now

If you dont have any emotional value attached to any number like bday, first car, bla bla then Im sorry to say both numbers are no big deal and goes in usual recycle mode from RTA.

    Value of importance

    • 4 digit - 5k to 20k - sold by RTA
    • A code - 2k - 5k - sold by pvt seller
    • B and C code - 1k - 2k - sold by pvt seller
    • D onwards no one pays for anything

D plate code goes in super high demand in 1, 2 or 3 digit as RTA was only allowed to sell D code initially (till 2010), so in 1-3 digit they only used to sell D plates in auction/advertise. Now I think they can sell any plate.

D and 5 digit - no special value.

I have reserved A46329 - my first car in Dubai in 2002 - emotional value.

I have bought L2404 - my bday - from RTA directly.

    Hmm..this is interesting.

buy the way my plate number is C-94515. as per above its worth about 1-2K   is anyone interested. 😀

No luck with the Nativa ? What's the status ?

@Emmanuel drives the basic Xterra and it goes everywhere. Adding a cruise control is not easy, and i am personally not a fan of the aftermarket stuff for obvious safety reasons. Adding a rear difflock is a Nice To Have option for self-recovery. You can get ARB lockers but honestly you can perfectly go offroad without rear difflock. I would keep the extra money and spend it on good tyres, proper maintenance, and offroad gear such as compressor, ropes, shackles, etc... (or even maybe a winch :) ).

I have a RD on my little Pajero, but not on the big Pajero vanessa is driving. Which is a mystery because it is the 3.8 Gold Edition model and virtually all Pajero 3.8 have the RD. I was told this car was a Oman or Qatar import, but not sure about that.

    Hi @Frederic

Thanks for the suggestion. Even i thought about spending couple of thousand and fix everything once in for all. because i like its quirky old look and functionality.  but again i changed my mind,

During my last drive my nativa abruptly blow some white smoke. next day i took it to mechanic he cannot find exact cause as there is no white smoke now. but when i opened radiator cap before i start the engine i saw little bit of oil in the coolant. not too much but little bit floating on top of coolant. but engine oil seams fine, mechanic’s guess is head gasket is failing again. but have to open up and see. also car overheat when its idling for at least 15 mins, So cooling system also needs to be fully checked

Apart from above another concern is lack of power. During last couple of drives I’m disappointed with performance, in quite steep incline the car wont climb as I wanted.

So decided to fix the car and sell it and go for long term reliable partner.
