  1. Hi @Wrangeld as discussed on Saturday, I have the following 2 potential flagpole fittings that you can use (they do not fit Xterra). Let me know and I can bring along on next shared drive.
  2. Just did 120k service on my X - any mortgage brokers on this site????
  3. Yip, @Ale Vallecchi use the widescreen option
  4. Great - I learned my map navigation in the army, about a 1000 years before GPS was invented (I think the first compass just came out!). So love topo maps. With my premium account I try to overlay Topo on top of Sat, but visibility is crap. Maybe I will glue a 52” screen to my Xterra dashboard and pair it with my phone?
  5. Hi @Frederic, I also like topo maps to give indication of the gradient of some dunes / areas. With ESRI as base, which are your favourite overlays used? Saw the use of red areas in your post - I love that and will certainly use that.
  6. Bought and downloaded 2 days ago. Will start to use it and build a repository of waypoints from this weekend. Most of my waypoints will be comfy patches of soft sand to avoid
  7. Hi @Srikumar, I have removed myself from the drive - will do the Leading training with Gaurav in the evening. Enjoy!
  8. In a post-Covid world, a drive from mountain to sea will be great @Ale Vallecchi with a debrief on the beach at sunset!
  9. Massive thanks to @Gaurav @Srikumar @Frederic @Emmanuel @Ale Vallecchi @Wrangeld and @Rahimdad - while you guys were born Fewbie +, I am proof that an old dog can still learn a few new tricks! Thank you for your weekly dedication and patience with the exponentially growing number of community members - I can assure you, this is appreciated by all of us. Indeed, the desert keeps one humble - as I learnt after getting stuck once my tires have been inflated at the inflation point - after a RECOVERY training drive!!!!! Thankfully my fellow X-man @Chaitanya D was there to spare me the agony of deflating again... Thanks to my regular driving buddies @Chaitanya D @Tbone @Rinelle Sanaani @Najeeb Mohammed @Febin Frederic and @J J - while we may share a lot of banter, we all learn a lot from each other every week.
  10. Great drive again @Emmanuel - while the sand was much more forgiving than a few weeks ago, you took us through an amazing number of torque feasting climbs! Despite the usual mall traffic at the tick-box hotspots, as expected you lead us through a few less-traveled dunes, which I always appreciate. Thanks for the effort - knowing that your genuine off-time over weekends are quite limited! Shoutout to @Chaitanya D who waited to show the way for the back of the convoy when there was a mini break-up - your patience is appreciated!
  11. Of course it was a deliberate choice to go that sexy lava red
  12. Camping chair is essential for recoveries! Good initiative this @Gaurav. I think different cars have different tricks (especially of you have diff-locks), so practice makes perfect.
  13. Well done Dunemaster @Ale Vallecchi!! Looking forward to many more drives with you.
  14. Agree 100%. The one thing I like about the Carnity community is the extra effort from the experts to mentor the rest of us, on many things. I will certainly enjoy many more drives with the whole team, and accept their guidance as just that.
