It was a great drive, with many scenic detours. Thanks @Wrangeld and @Jeepie for not only very competent leads, but also maintaining a great pace! It was great to have the desert basically to ourselves, and as always the highlight of my week. Thank you to @Rahimdad and @sertac for the guidance, and all the shoveling with @Vanessa8580!

@Gaurav The WhatsApp with heading “BAN FROM CARNITY” nearly gave me a heart attack!!! I thought this was due to the ugly colour of my Xterra..

Only way is to stop warning and to start acting (i.e. banning). We still get people on drives without radios programmed - or even just one channel programmed - or not pitching up for drives and preventing somebody else to join! This despite the clear guidelines on the website. And I am not sure in how many different languages these warnings / guidelines can be issued. I think you have the support of the majority of the community to start the banning from this Friday - and also disclosed it to the community as a deterrent and sign of seriousness. Hopefully we can return to “normal” again soon ...

Thanks @Srikumar for leading a very enjoyable drive today. Thanks @Ale Vallecchi and @sertac for the support. We had quite a few smallish slideslopes and I think all had a great time.

@Rahimdad 2015 S - of course “never driven in the sand” Ugly mix of brown / orange / red (reducing theft risk?). Wanted to do a Newby this weekend to see what it can do, but beautiful AD desert closed for a week - so will try a Fewby ( @Emmanuel should get some more practice with the kinetic strap...). Just fitting some Geolanders and boosting the Nissan AC with an additional fan - to cool me down when the guys dig me out again!

@Chaitanya D I have also decided to stop offering bumper pieces to the desert gods - and bought an ugly-coloured Xterra for the dunes. Which flag mount will you be using?

Hi all, there are a few recommendations on this forum for Xterra upgrades - just checking if there are new places around Dubai? Looking for small lift, base plate for radiator.

Thanks to the marshals who lead this drive through a beautiful part of the desert. A special thanks to @Gaurav @Xaf @Rahimdad @Mels Wolf who had to do quite a bit of shoveling in extreme heat, to get me out of a sticky situation (apologies if I have missed anybody - given the angle of my car I had limited sight of my surroundings). Maybe next time we will have more time to get to the "play area".

Haha - still waiting for confirmation. Morning ride was tough with lots of refusals / over-heating. And my second bumper took a bump (that is what they are there for right?).
