  1. cool got it, @Rahimdad, so the car Im talking about, the seller is the first owner of the car and started servicing it from an outside garage a few years ago, before that it was all agency maintained, so I'm hoping it is in good condition. He's going to be back on Thursday so I'll let you know how the drive goes. Any idea what price I should be expecting for the car?
  2. is the MAF sensor an expensive part to fix? (Im guessing not) apart from that, is it a decent daily driver car? Since the milage is at 200K and I'm comparing it with my Pajero at 130K, is there anything I should be concerned about for such a high milage?
  3. Hi guys, I bought my 06 SWB Pajero, 6 months ago and its a great little car which handles well and performs well on the dunes too. However whenever I have to take 4 people in the car its always a struggle due to it having 2 doors only. A family friend of mine is selling his 04 Pathfinder 3.5 , I'm considering selling mine and buying his if its worth it, so I just wanted pro's and con's of either car. The only reason I'm planning for this switch is for more practicality, and nothing else. I drive the Pajero as a daily driver as well so reliability is an important aspect, the Paj has done 130K and the Pathfinder has done over 200K, I'm yet to drive the Pathfinder as my friend isnt back in Dubai yet, so Im yet to see how the car drives.
  4. Hey guys, I have the Geolandar HT tires, once these go bad, I might go for Geolandar ATS, can you give me any pros and cons of ATS vs HT? Ill be going for the same tire size, so nothing is going to change in that aspect.
  5. I have a gen3 pajero and for my 120K major service I changed the timing belt along with the pulleys(I think), is a waterpump change mandatory at this milage? Alternatively, can anyone recommend the general parts to replace during the 120K service?
  6. Thanks Vanessa, Srikumar, Anvar and Tamas for a wonderful drive, the Pink Rock climb was a great adrenaline rush, looking forward forward for the next drive
  7. yup, in the link Frederic shared, Bilstein 4600 were for around 500USD, so the overall costs are a lot higher compared to KYB, so I'm going for the KYB's soon
  8. I thought I replied to an existing topic, but it seems I've created a new topic, nevertheless, thanks for the suggestion @Frederic, I'll be going for the KYB Excel series soon! Can you tell me the overall cost and where you got them done from?
  9. Hi @Barry, I have a gen3 Pajero and Im looking to change my shocks too, I do go offroading so what shocks would you recommend? KYB costs around 1200 for all 4 with labor, Im willing to pay a bit more if I can get shocks which are better for offroading.
  10. @Bretteand @Chaitanya D thanks a lot for the amazing drive, Margham is by far my most favorite location!
  11. Thanks @Frederic and @Luca Palanca FalsiniFalsini for a great drive! Btw @Frederic, my ABS light turned off after driving for a minute, thanks for showing how to remove the abs fuse
  12. Hi @Frederic, thanks for your suggestions, I went and got a Camel brand compressor for 220 AED.
  13. Good Morning @Frederic, Thanks for the warm welcome, 1. I drive a 06 SWB Pajero 3.0 2. This will be my 2nd drive in the desert, I've had one drive with a different offroad club previously. 3. Yes, my tow points are in good condition. Is getting a compressor mandatory? If so can you suggest a good one and where to get it from ?
