  1. I do not think it looks like a Pajero. It looks quite unique and let’s hope to see it on the sand soon.
  2. It never occurred to me to do this "2. Cleaning the air filter will be better after each drive, because lots of sand will go inside. " I will check out some online tutorial how to DIY this for the FJ.
  3. Prior to the pandemic, I used to get it cleaned it whenever the car is dirty, in particular the interior as the exterior gets dusty quite quickly. Now that I have started off-roding, I am fine to enjoy the desert drives and drive around with some sand in the car during the weekdays. I just realised that the car may never get washed in perpetuity. I am curious what do the regulars do and how do you maintain a 'balance'.
  4. Great drive today. Thanks @Gaurav for showing us the way especially the area behind the Pink Rock. The flow was great and it was really enjoyable. Thanks @Nivinfor making some observations and sharing some driving tips.
  5. This is a certainly another perspective of looking at things and it is certainly a viable option as well.
  6. Based on your needs, if you are not too fussed with something that is more than 3 years old and more mileage, it is worth while to go for FJ, Prado or Fortuner. They would have 5 years warranty from Al Futtaim so it is still possible to get something with some residual warranty period remaining. If you want something newer and correspondingly lower mileage, I would personally go for Pajero or Montero. It is currently the buyer's market. So please test drive the cars that you have shortlisted and decide. Happy car hunting!
  7. I know right. You somehow needed them after you have kept them away. I think keeping it in the car neatly organized is important. I secured it with a net along with other stuff to prevent it from moving around.
  8. I just wonder whether you all keep the compressor in the car during the weekdays when you’re not driving in the desert ? i have been keeping mine in the car with the other gears because I fear showing up without a compressor.
  9. Whilst I was researching for air compressors, I wanted something portable and not installed in the vehicle as I do not know whether this hobby will take off or I may end up selling the air compressor. Besides ARB which is expensive, I also came across the Bushranger options. Coincidentally ACE was going promotion and Air Max III was going for AED999.
  10. @Srikumarokay but would like to stay on waitlist for this if in the unlikely event that there are insufficient takers or someone drop out. I’m on waitlist for pink rock.
  11. @Gaurav I would like to join the waitlist for this drive in case anyone drop out. Thanks.
  12. @Rahimdad your own name should be mentioned as well 😃 If only Ferrari is also at the sharp end of the grid challenging MB and RBR
  13. Anyone managed to catch the race yesterday - Hungary GP? I am quite impressed with Redbull for fixing Max's suspension on the grid and Max went on to secure no.2 spot on the podium. It was really working under pressure to the perfection. In case you are wondering, Max slide off and hit the tyre wall whilst driving to the starting grid.
  14. Sri, may I please join this since the other newbie drives are full. I am also interested to check out Qudra and I am sure I have something to learn since I have only done 2 drives.
  15. Hardly an expert but I’ll give it a shot. 1) didn’t do a slower trial run to check the bumps 2) too much speed. It is not that steep and does not require so much momentum 3) angle is incorrect ?
  16. Great drive today but when the other groups came it was quite intimidating 😅
  17. Thanks @Rahimdad for the guidance and pointers during the drive Interesting and scenic route.
