@Emmanuel Can you please do me a favor? I can’t still get it out of my head how it happened that I was sure to be on this drive, and then suddenly I wasn’t. Can you check the logs? Did I take myself out of the drive by mistake? Or any of the admins did? Thanks.🙏

Some thoughts from the rear perspective This was my 11th drive with Carnity, and possibly the most fun I have participated in!!! No, we did not make a lot of kilometers, we didn’t reach the planned destination and we got warned by the police for busting a restricted area 😆. It was my first time as sweep, and didn’t know what to expect. I have had a shinny new rope and shackles for a while now, but I actually lost track of the number of times the rope was used today!!! Shovel got used as well (the 30-dhs-Dragon Mart proper one, and not the 200-dhs-“tea spoon” as Richard has named it previously...). What a physically challenging ride!! But it was soo fun, all the recoveries, the getting together, digging together, discussing together etc! I think it was very good to actually see and learn all the different problems from pop-out to stucks in different positions. Thanks @Wrangeld for the continuous support and your relentless driving up and down the convoy to assist us in the back. I am amazed that you so easily can handle the responsibility of getting 10 cars out in the desert like that, and more importantly also getting them out... A special thanks to my “brother in arms” @Tamas Hoffmann and his crew for his work!! The moment both of us gut stuck, crested besides each other, pointing in opposite directions, and needed @Wrangeld to pull us both, was simply priceless!! I also have to mention @Ajiesh George Kannankara and the black Patrol crew, who where always helping out - great job!! Thanks all for a great ride today!! I have taken exactly 1 picture only for the whole trip, so I’m looking forward to all nice pictures you guys must have!

Update: it did't go too well with RSA. They asked if car is GCC - Yes it is. They asked if car is modified? I replied what is the definition of modified? The only "modification" is bigger tyres 285/70. She told me that they consider that to be a "modification", so they cannot give med the comprenhesive insurance (with the Off Road)... Don't know what to say. I don't consider the bigger tyres to be a modification. Maybe I should have said nothing...?? All of you with RSA insurance have totally un-modified cars?? I'll try the other companies...

Thanks guys! I am in contact RSA. They seem good! Have any of you used the insurance to get you out of the desert? Btw - last piece above (“What we don’t cover”): is Carnity drive to be considered ”dune bashing”...???😱

Hi! Is there some more infoout there regarding which insurance companies that offer "propper" off road insurance? The one I have now is covering only 500 m from a road, so no propper off roading. Like if you have a problem far away in the dunes... Any suggestions...?

Well @Wrangeld, I am the unlucky one who has to pull out😢. My car is for some repair, and they won’t finish it until Friday...

@Roopesh babu If you leave for the drive 30 min earlier today, you can drive by Dragon Mart and buy one - I followed the excellent advice on this forum by Frederic

@Wrangeld Hi! Decided late that I can drive this weekend. Saw a free spot, and took it!! But then I read the thread, and now I am confused wheter I can count on my place, or if I "jumped" in front of someone else...?

Being too humble to mention it, @Frederic was the perfect leader, taking “one for the team” and sacrificing parts of his car in the process, to find the perfect route 😀 It seems however the motto of this bunch is “we leave no one behind, nor do we leave any (car)parts behind”😂😂😂

😂😂 Hey man, of course they were seatbelts, we come from Sweden, our other car is a Volvo XC90, you know Volvo invented both the seatbelt AND the child seat...?

@Frederic Just a quick question: I intended to bring my family along in the car for this drive, any problems with that? Haven’t done it before since I’ve never been on a evening drive before, and they are too lazy to wake up in the mornings...:-)

Hi @Emmanuel! I really wanted to joint this drive, realising I only have 4 Fewbe drives so far, this would be my fifth...Could this be accepted...?
