  1. I am thankful to @Wrangeld for his sheer patience on the drive and how he successfully conducted the stuck rescues as General in the battlefield. My new FJ had a starting scare where the kill switch was not adapted for 2020 model and on engaging 4H it disconnected the power break and become manual plus I had a very irritating beeping that lasted the entire 6 hours of the drive. I have never seen or experienced so many stucks ever on any previous drives where nearly every car got into some trouble or other. I had pull out cars, used spade to dig and participated in 2 difficult popouts. Overall I thank my new FJ it was the smoothest drive I ever and can proudly claim that I never got stuck or refusal even once. The Pajero experience came real handy having a much more powerful car was simply awesome. Finally the garage fixed the kill switch today and I am looking to do a another newbie drive before going to F+ then intermediate. Thanks also to my other drive mates good team work overall.
  2. Thank you very much sir... it will be a pleasure and honor to drive with you..
  3. Congrats @Chaitanya D seems the bar for you will never be too high..
  4. Thanks a lot.. Thank you sir... for all your support and eagerly look forward to the opportunity to drive under your command.
  5. @Gaurav thanks for standing by me as well as the two masters you gave me build my confidence to indulge in this sport. Though I admit it took away my concentration from Scuba Diving and Boating i.e from the sea into deep desert and somewhere tiny inside me I shall hate you for this... sorry just joking.@Fredericfor giving me finer tips as to how to improve on the condition of my old pajero. Also someone who bring cam fun to a drive. @Rahimdad demostrating how to self rescue as well as reducing the speed on riding the crest but no stopping or breaking. @SrikumarSrikumar for his tips to climb and cross over dune crest and giving me opportunity to sweep and be his second in lead @Chaitanya for following his tracks and his example of passion of leading drives @sertac for dune climbs and his collective confidence on other drivers of his convoy @Wrangeldfor a perfect repair of popouts. @Jeepie, Angela for near speed chase. Apologise if I missed any of my leads they all contributed in my grooming of 4x4 car handling. Above all many thanks to some of my co drivers @jodha singh shekhawat @Ahab Shamaa et.al. Finally almost certainly my time with my pajero 2005 model will soon come to an end replaced by a brand new FJ.. someone hastened my decision I thank him as well. KUDOS to Carnity Club having a great team to learn and enjoy 4x4 offroad driving.
  6. Ahab dear you deserve every bit of it. and I am looking forward to drive under your command.
  7. Hi this Ashok, if anyone more drops out can be on the wait list. This will be me second drive.
  8. A truly inspiring story, yes I did wonder the T Shirt it did look good on your expertise in the desert. I do hope your brother is equally proud of you..Blessed be.
  9. Thanks @Jeepie what an amazing short and long combination of technical, sidie, ridge riding and at a speedy continous pace. It was a busy day and sand was messed near everywhere which made it more challenging to keep up.. @Veedooshee you are such a good driver that following the leader was made it look so easy as I was behind you to watch. Only challenge was to keep on your tracks and a couple time it became like a ball room dance as I had no idea that you were circling to come out and I followed along your tracks. two Pajero in sinc. must be a site to watch. Was pleased that there were no one in the convoy seriously stuck just few tugs and spading a bit. I in the very end of the drive felt that my pajero lacked some power climbing but then changed my technique and did the same climb 3 times over. Altogether another memorable drive. Thanks again @Jeepie for the this adventure drive.
  10. Thank you @Chaitanya D for leading this drive was one of the best I had in Fewbie. I am extremely pleased that my 2005 Pajero stood by me. The total technical drive had some awesome scene including the 5 hot air ballooons. Despite the aggressive wave cresting and sidings.. there wasn't any driver seriously stucks.. just few small refusals and only one tug. I would invite all who have not done this area must at least do it once.
  11. Perhaps a bit taxing as I decided to drive with Ajay Shekawat (he has acquired a jeep but landed in Frederic group) we drove near all the night starting from Dubai at 1 am. On reaching Liwa we kind of slept for 1hour+ in the car only. It was an awesome drive quite challenging at times. My Pajero is tiring and shall be replaced yet it managed as much as it could. What amazes me is the expertise and energy of Rahimdad sir, I think he can drive even a boat in the desert.. he actually took the wheel once and drove my car in situation I found absolutly requiring a winch. The drop in temperature has made the sands powdery loose and cars simply sink flat to the belly. Our lead and support were fabulous always ready to help out. Thanks everyone and look ahead to be on the drives with you.. God bless and be safe.
  12. Truly appreciate @Chaitanya D @Jeandre Bezuidenhout and anish they were extremely helpful.. I had a couple of stucks but they were easy ones however near the end my car had a nasty stuck near wedged between two sides of depression and it took quite an effort to move it.. once again @Jeandre Bezuidenhoutmighty rubicon came to the rescue.. over all a very valuable learning experience. Most got stuck amd we had 3 pop outs as well. @Chaitanya D a great marshal to have.
  13. I wish to take this opportunity to thank Angela and Rahimdad for giving us some great experience by a continuous drive over some interesting crest and dune criss crossing a time virtually non stop. I did have a mishap best avoided had I picked up a stone formation which was near flat with the sand and previously noticed Angela at her calibre struggling to get through the softness of the sand. I accelerated through the stone formation rather than breaked.. the car did a couple of nasty pumps but thankfully nothing serious happened the new A/T tyre took the impact and bounced off the rock formation and landed with front right tyre partially in air..having popped out. This was fixed by able hands of Rahimdad sir in less than 5 minutes and we were on our way. Yes a portion of the plastic covering over the tyre bay came out and wonder whether to leave it as it. Lesson to learn for me to watch for icebergs in sand too.
  14. My mobile is 0506442921 if there comes a place for me.. can join in 30 minutes as I live in The Villa close of Emirates road.
