  3. Hope you had a good week & ready for the drive. We will be going technical on Ch: 2 and our convoy order is as follows:
  4. Be aware of this if anyone is taking Truck Road (E75). (thank’s to @JeromeFJ for the graphic)
  5. Congratulations @Frans M. A well-deserved promotion. See you soon in the dunes.
  6. Congratulations @Mike M. on your promotion. Well done 👏
  7. DRIVE PLAN This drive is inspired by @M.Seidam's Sweihan Series drive. (See Part I and Part II). But instead of driving from Sweihan to Nahel, we will drive from Nahel to Sweihan. It will be mostly technical but on tall dunes. Ensure the car is fully topped up with gas. Request every member that joins this drive to go through the information below and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquette, and responsibilities. 10. So, a bug. I will avoid logging out and drag it as long as I can. The issue is that I cannot take screen shots for drive posts - I will live with it.
  11. It was indeed a roller costar drive for sure. In the morning when met @GauravSoni who camped the previous night said he had bad feelings about the dunes, so he slept near the treatment plant. Then we had this discussion of how some of us had to tug cars out of these dunes. Even in our last drive - both the convoys had issues in and around this area. The bad omens kind of continued with @Beide Worku's car showing up trouble 5 min into the drive, literally as soon as we entered the sand. It took about 25 min to get him out and start the drive once again. At the front we socialized, but at the back @Mark B, @GauravSoni and @Mike M. ensured that @Beide Worku is safely out of the sand. When we started, I knew we lost the momentum and mindset for the drive. We were outside the double bowl, And I wanted the convoy to be in and out like @Frederic did here (click the link) (edit: you can see the rock in this video too. It is protruding a lot more here) Thanks @Glenn W for getting rid of it from the bowl. But unfortunately, @Andrew John Melvill hit a rock that I saw but had no time to tell on the radio. Once Again @Mark B and @GauravSoni took the lead to fix the car in super quick time and moved on. Then again in about 5 min Drive @nithish468 had a pop out. @Mark B had all the stuff needed to fix it in no time once again. I think by this time we had enough of sacrifice to the desert demons and they were happy, and finally we could do some brisk driving without any further issues. It was smooth and flowing like brush strokes in the desert canvas by a painter. We had one more break, towards the end when @Mike M. had a refusal. Thank you once again to @Mike M. at Sweep, @Mark B in Center Forward, @Andrew John Melvill at second lead and @GauravSoni as flying sweep for making the drive successful. And last but not the least thank you @ChrisW , @nithish468, @Sandeep N, @Hani crest king, @Glenn W and @Gautam Banka for joining the drive. Some stats from the drive: Flat lines are the breaks we took. Link See you all next time.
  12. I had the Gaia subscription that expired in Feb. While on the website I have lost access to the premium maps - i.e. Satellite Maps - on the phone where I would need it is still working without any issue. I am wondering if it is a bug or a feature 🤔.
  13. For all of you who are coming on truck Road, the exit towards Sweihan is closed so go towards Abu Dhabi and you will find a U-turn towards Sweihan
