  3. @Archibald Jurdi, @Tareq Al Turq, @Charbel, @Mahmoud Taha Thank you all for joining and showing up for the drive. I can't fall asleep on the drive days, same thing happened this morning, when I went to bed at about 2 am and I set up an alarm for 5:30 am. I kept on snoozing it unknowingly in deep sleep till 6:15 when I actually woke up. So I kind of arrived half hour late to the drive. We started the drive at 7:23 instead of 7:00 am as planned. We however did drive for about 3 hours and for about 76 km, with a moving speed of above 25km. Had a lot of fun at the tall dunes of Faqa'a but need to figure out a better way of reaching them next time as the current track is full of bushes.
  4. I might be running a bit late. I have been snoozing 2 alarms for last 45 mins. Just got up, and rushing.
  5. Good evening Gents! On this Sunday morning Drive we will try to climb the tallest dunes that Faqa'a has to offer followed by some sweeping long range dunes towards Qudra. After we cross the Sabkha and into the "Little Sweihan" we will have some challenging and technical terrain to test our skills. We will exit at Solar Park about 11 am or may be slightly earlier. We will rock on Ch 2 and following is our convoy order.
  6. @rohit kumar, this is a FB+ drive, i see you are still a FB. You can join FB drive on Saturday. Don't worry about the long waitlist. it only means it will most likely be going to be a split convoy.

  9. @Stumpy Paj, @Frans M, @george charbel, @H3 Joe, @Gurcharan Mehta, @W a q a r, @Rk ram, @Emanuel, @Ishak, @Mahmoud Taha, @Pacific Initially when we started we I could see a lot of tracks but soon they disappeared and ours were the only tracks we left behind. As I mentioned it was a Technical Overdoes, but it wasn't really 100% there was a small patch after DP hill I took though less technical areas so that few who had to really work hard at the DP hill can have a breather. It was the slowest drive till date for me. We did less than 50 km in 4 hours (2 hours and 44 mins of drive time, 12.1 kmph average & 17.9 kmph moving). I was driving in most parts with a very light foot on the gas as this drive was all about finding the right line though the technical patches. I made a mistake when I posted this drive. I knew this will take time - but forgot to change the number of hours from my typical 3 to normal 4 hour window; and it could have caused some confusion for some. This was my most satisfying drive at the lead, today I drove to have fun and enjoy. The view from DP Hill was magnificent & breathtaking. The entire Lisaili & Qudra Area in their best. Also the Chimney. Best photo op. Shout out to @Stumpy Paj for best 2nd lead I could ever ask for and @Pacific for doing some surgical recoveries at the sweep. A BIG Thank you all for joining this drive. Wishing all you A Very Happy New Year - many happy drives in the coming year and all the best for 2024.
