  1. For all of you who are coming on truck Road, the exit towards Sweihan is closed so go towards Abu Dhabi and you will find a U-turn towards Sweihan
  2. Thank you @JeromeFJ for letting me drive. We have added the waitlist to the extension of the drive as per below calendar entry post. @Joji varghese, @Andrei S, @Rajiv Sam, @Michael asir, @Bjoern, @Rob S

  4. I edit my videos on a 43 inch monitor and I only watch YouTube on my TV so all my videos end up best views on TV only.
  5. 1. Agree with @Luke K P on the suction cup. Because you will invariably use a selfie stick to extend you would need more suction and hence 3 cup is ideal. 2. I would answer this in two parts: a) For Reels - you can edit them on the mobile app, and you can use insta360's phone app. That is what you need at the least to export the video out. if you need to do further edits my current favorite is inshot. It is available as a onetime purchase or a subscription. b) For long form videos: i) The Insta360 Studio is quite versatile now. In the Project screen - it does most of the editing you would want including cut and add multiple clips. Unfortunately, it does not add the telemetry in this mode, and you have to rely on the normal export to add that in insta 360 app. ii) Capcut is another easy application to use to edit videos that you can use. iii) Da Vinci can be a very powerful free application if you have the aptitude for some learning curve. You will get tons of tutorials on YouTube. I would suggest you go up in the same order as above, as you are getting more comfortable in editing. iv) I however do most of my editing on Final Cut Pro X - it is intuitive as well as powerful editing software. it has a 90-day free trial, and I so got used to by that time that I just bought it. There is no subscription, and it is a onetime purchase. 3. Cameras tend to overheat. In the X4 they have better managed the heat due to larger case and a heat shield they give + if you record them videos at 5.7k instead of 8k you are far better off than X3. Having said that you will normally start finding issues after 2-3 hours of continuous use and when the outside temperature is over 30 degrees. You should be fine for most use case scenarios. 4. Mount > Selfie Stick > Camera
  6. I have been to Al Quaa with @GauravSoni three times. This was my best outing till date where I had most fun till the end when it wasn't. Thank you @GauravSoni for organising this drive. Also we had the best use of the Group Drive function till date. I remember last time as well, when I lost you because I was down in the bowl and you crossed it over and due to few previous tracks I had no idea where you went. This time however I could see you exactly where you were and didn't have to waste time searching for you. @Mario Cornejo, great to see you in action Super Mario, and thank you for your support till the end. @Sunil Mathew, I hope you will get your car's mechanical issues sorted out soon and be back in the fun. Things happen to all of us and it is part of the game, I suppose it is a moot point to tell you about it. @Gautam Banka, looks like you found your play ground - these are the dunes where the true potential of your 392 is realised - but it is not for the novice driver. But, you perhaps saved too much gas for the end. @Batuhan Kulac - this is a true testing ground for your TJ and and hope you had fun with it. @Brett Eicher glad to be seeing you back and hope you had some learning experience.

  8. One needs to go to Al Quaa town, go to ADNOC Service Station | Al Quaa (946) and fill up the tank before coming in at the meeting point - please calculate your time accordingly. You can take either the Al Quaa Milky Way Road or E95 that takes you through the Al Quaa Town. Google Maps shows that E95 is the best track for me if I take into consideration that I need to fill up. I reckon it will be a 3:30 min drive including the stoppage for filling up. After the drive please take a few hours rest before you move in. Last time around we went to a mandi restaurant and had a great serving of Mandi and took a nap before we moved out. We had camped previous day. Let's perhaps do that after the drive as a convoy.
  9. @salahb next thing you need to consider is the length of the car. Trucks are longer so they tend to crest on the dunes a lot more than LWB cars.
  10. Congratulations @ChrisW on your promotion. Well deserved.
