  1. @Shehzada Umer Naseer there was an old thread between @Ahab Shamaa and @Ale Vallecchi where if your car has the side curtain airbags, there is (was) a switch on the left of your steering wheel to disable this. For the standard front airbags, they likely don’t need any disabling (also explained in that old thread). the switch should be labeled ‘RSCA off’ https://www.toyota.com/owners/resources/dashboard-lights/fj-cruiser/2010?garagePrefVehicle=0&garageModelName=FJ Cruiser&garageYearValue=2010&addToVehicleList=false&remRecentVehicle=false&csrfToken=16106463087468196955100484399401 newer FJs made the side curtain airbags optional so I don’t personally have that switch but have seen it on a number of fellow FJs with that disabled you have the right bags disabled for the drive. Enjoy your AN experience and reach out via the FJ/Toyota forum here also as there’s lots of great info or if not, a lot of people ready to help and guide!
  2. @Thomas Varghese this gives me hope (and allows me to not get in more trouble buying further gadgets )
  3. @Mikhail Lukichev these are stunning pictures and I would very much like to learn and join you as a beginner! I have a very old beginners DSLR and only a few lenses (I’ll share details a little later). Hopeful it’s enough to learn with and take some stunning shots like above! Let’s see who else would be interested and we can hopefully plan something as a small group
  4. @Ale Vallecchi @Jeepie I really enjoy your ‘exploration’ drives - unpredictable and always full of challenges and never disappointed by the views and experience! I may have missed the fewbie events on Friday but this drive really felt like a fewbie experience ... a little cross crossing, a little ridge riding, a lot of technical, lots learnt and fun had! Appreciate how much effort you put in to teach @Ale Vallecchi ... tough love it felt like when you demand we leave our cars and inspect the tracks we did take vs should have! ... felt like 1:1 coaching for all which was a real privilege (thanks for taking that much care and effort) @Jeepie you always bring such a calm and confidence to every drive (thankyou) and if @Wrangeld didn’t pinch your soft shackles I suspect a little easier recoveries also Thanks all in the convoy, was another great group !! have added a sped up video of the ‘beast raptor’ self recovering and a few pics of the drive. Look forward to the next one
  5. @Asif Hussain ... wow!!!! I think those that made this trip are the luckiest of the weekend drives! Look forward to my chance to experience Sweihan and your lead!!!
