  1. @Srikumarit was great to see you again in happier (suspension) circumstances. The old girl was really on form today and she showed the Gadgero a clean pair of heels and taught her a few lessons in light weight/high traction physics! It's a long grind from home to the mighty Sweihanistan mountains but well worth the time and fuel for me, it's just majestic. It really is good for the soul to see the dunes sailing off into the far far distance in the early morning light... The sand was wind groomed and very soft, many times I had rooster tails of sand flying from both ends as the Gadge scrambled to follow the leaders path and frequently had to opt for a variation as the nose kept plowing and refusing to answer the helm Considering the high speed challenge that was laid down to the team today, everyone drove really well with few stucks and only a soft serving of refusals (I cannot imagine it was easy at number 10 with how soft it was at number 2!). @Simon Dawoodmaybe it's time to trade up to a 40 year old Jeep Cherokee? lol (jut kidding bro). Great to hear @Tom B chuckling away on the radio while the mighty Yamato booms and thunders along at the rear, shaking the earth and helping to slow the earth's rotation. Thanks to all the NASCAR pit crew for swinging in to place and repairing my pop out in what seemed like record time, I have no excuse for blasting my tyre off other than "I was trying to follow Srikumar" lol. Great to catch up with some old faces like @Mus_hus78who I haven't driven with for a while and looking forward to getting back into the 'mountains' again soon!
  2. Here we are in reality though... first Intermediate drive beckoning and what do I do? GET TO SWEIHAN AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY!😁
  3. Thanks mate, it all started with you and the Boss and I’m off to a good start. Looking forward to learning more from you soon👍
  4. Good job Daniel, looking forward to following you again soon!
  5. It was a good crew and we DID have fun! Thank you so much @Hisham Masaadfor leading a great drive. With more than able assistance from @Rob Sat CF and @Pacificat sweep we plowed a straight furrow through the beautifully refreshed Sharjah dunes (thank you weather). A good mix of technical switchbacks and dramatic bowls joined by some lovely flowing ridges made for an intense morning of fun and stress. Special thanks to @Rob S's lovely passenger for the motivation to try harder, I'm sure he wasn't paraphrasing... Also a special mention to @Mohamad Anwer for pushing me up the hills and @Tom Bfor cheering me down the hills. Looking forward to dragging this crew to Sweihan soon!
  6. @Mohamad Anwersoon I will fit towbar with LC70 adaptor so often are you behind me😂
  7. Let me be the first to say that even though we averaged 0.5 kph for this drive, @Mehmet Volga drives always deliver fun in spades. Lots of good natured ribbing, teasing and competitive razzing, good spirits abounded with lots of hands for the shovels. All we need now is this crew in Sweihan.
  8. @Daniel Rodas@Warren Flay and @Mohamad Anwer The Three Amigos are re-united! (11, 12 and 13, let's enjoy surfing the ruts boys)
  9. Check with Mitsubishi then, I don’t believe a new bumper piece is very pricy.
  10. Frederic's advice is 100% spot on mate. I put a lift kit in mine and left the bottom of the bumper as stock. Had no problems until I did lol... I nosed her into a pocket pretty hard and the tyre bit the inside of the bumper extensions, grabbed the inner fender liner (plastic) and ripped it out by it's roots! I ended up having it trimmed to those cute red lines anyway. Your experience may differ ha ha.
  11. Thanks @Shaaz Sha and support team for an interesting and very technical drive. It's always nice to drive somewhere new (to me anyway) and some of the tight uphill turns on churned up soft sand were challenging to say the least! The Gods of fortune were not with us today sending us a very generous dose of breakdowns and stucks/refusals which made for slow going. Still, we got safely to the end and with the temperature climbing past 38, exiting was definitely the right thing to do. Nice to meet new faces and especially nice to follow @Tom Bin the mighty Yamato. She shook the ground and made nice deep ruts for the little Gadgero to wallow in. See you all again soon (if I can get on a drive lol)
  12. Thank you @Hisham Masaadand @Gauravfor going the extra mile to make sure we poor folk had a drive to attend this week. Fewbie Plus drives are hard to get on these days and this week was probably the hardest so I am grateful that you worked the system on our behalf. Thanks to all who attended and made it a fun, fast day with lots of *fun political discussion and misunderstandings. The drive included some lovely fast, flowing, fairly high speed stretches contrasted with some long waits for technical failures and a fair old helping of stucks, refusals and a very unlucky flat tyre. All in all, lovely to be back in the F+ saddle and looking forward to more.
  13. I don't understand this. The event went live with 10 people already booked in at 7pm. How are we supposed to get to our promotion level if we cannot get on a drive?
  14. @Kailas we should be nicknaming you 'The Michael Bay of Carnity' (every drive you plan seems to be an action thriller stacked with bad actors and a lame ending ha ha). So, this weeks matinee drama was "Carnity on Faya" a long and twisting story about white sand and sweeping dunes punctuated by plenty of intermissions for stucks, refusals and pop outs. Great fun for all and all set in a beautiful backdrop with fine warm weather. It started well, got fast in the middle and then crashed to an ending best described as... interesting. Nice to meet new people who I haven't driven with and you all acquitted yourselves brilliantly. Special mention to @Andrew McCarthyfor the laughs and the entertainment and to @Willie for driving the second best car in the event. BRRM BRRM!
