  1. Really looking forward to this drive! I am not able to disable airbags in the truck but will take it easy on crossovers. See you Friday.
  2. Agreed, great weather and a fun, challenging drive. Thanks as always @Brette and @Russ for guidance. I’ll also upload a couple of photos. See you all soon I hope!
  3. Nice to see a few trucks out tomorrow! look forward to meeting you all in the desert.
  4. Hi @Islam Soliman, I’m sorry but I’m going to have to pull out of this weeks drive…something has come up. Please take me off the list. I’ll see you soon hopefully
  5. @Islam Solimanlooking forward to another morning out with you! I need to get the front end sorted this week first! Will this drive be as technical as last week?
  6. Yes, it’s got some minor scars but I’ve definitely learned more about how much I can push it. A full exam this afternoon revealed no further damage. @Islam Soliman can you recommend a workshop for the modifications? I will research the transmission further but the internet suggests heat may be the issue.
  7. Yes agreed, thanks so much @Islam Soliman and @Melenany, and all the team! Without your support, help and guidance I’d never have made it. Without a doubt, an amazing learning experience! See you next time I hope.
  8. Can’t wait! Be nice to see another truck out there too! See you all tomorrow
  9. Hi @Amir Amiri, is yours a rebel 5th Gen? I have a 2021 model and Dodge told me this wasn’t possible. Any idea of the fuse numbers? Are they under the hood in the PDC? Thanks!
  10. This is what worries me though @Gaurav…if I can’t disable it fully then I’ll always have to take it easy. I’ll ask Dodge again about the airbag technology and also about the warranty, and will report back!
  11. Having spoken with Dodge directly, it is impossible to disable the airbags. The fuses that the airbags use power other ECM parts and if you remove them it will stop the car functioning altogether. So I’ll just have to take the risk I guess
  12. Amazing, so useful. Thanks @Daniel Rodas and @Frederic From my research so far it seems that Dodge do not allow you to disable the airbags at all…even the passenger airbag as most other makes do. I’ll keep digging and will let you know what I come up with.
  13. Hi folks I’ve got a Ram Rebel+ and just starting to get into desert driving. However, one thing I’m struggling with is disabling the ABS/TC/ESP and airbags fully. The TC can be disabled with the switch in the cabin but it’s not ‘fully’ off. I found a website that mentioned fuses f26 and f29 control the ABS/TC but nothing regarding airbags. Does anyone know what fuses to pull to turn all these off? Thanks!
  14. Wow totally agree! What a morning. I loved it and learned so much. Note to self: invest in better compressor! ps, thanks @Brette and @JAISROCK for the help with the number plate!
  15. Ok, so I have two front tow hooks, and the 8 inch clearance. However, at the rear I dont have dedicated tow hooks. I have the tow hitch, which has two holes in it which look like they are designed to take a shackle or similar. What would you suggest? thanks
