  1. Thank you so much to @Varun Mehndiratta for a really awesome day out on the sand. When I first RSVP'd and saw how strong the rest of the convoy was, I was a little worried that I would be like the little sister slowing her big brothers down 😄but thanks to all your support I was able to learn and enjoy without too much stress. Especially with @Looper behind, who I think has been forced to rescue me more times than anyone else in this club, I felt more confident 😆 As directed by our leader, I will upload the pic of my diagonal cresting incident. Don't try this at home kids, only expert cresters can manage this 😎 @Imteeaz @Santoso Marjuki @Looper I second @Varun Mehndiratta's comment on the pop out fix- F1 pit stop crews have nothing on you guys! Definitely one of my favourite drives ever. Thanks again. PS: I have reached out to the Prado gang for advice on the air bag issue. I wonder if I could just disable the beeping somehow so I could still just pull the fuse for the airbags. Let's see!
  2. Yes I'm camping! I just need to find somewhere that I can offload and leave my rooftop tent safely before the drive, as I want to eliminate all extra weight possible.
  3. Is anyone keen to camp? I'd rather get the 1.5 hour drive out of the way the night before so I'm fresher in the morning!
  4. @Stumpy Paj @Bravoecho good to meet some Queenslanders! True to this video: https://www.facebook.com/reel/582372293750328?fs=e&s=7MtrtK&mibextid=z9DgKg
  5. No ridge unridden! Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for a fun and safe drive, and thank you for the opportunity to try out being sweep for the first time. A somewhat technical yet fast paced drive, we had one horizontal cresting early on, twin stucks a little later (one requiring a couple of sharp tugs), a pop out, and finally some fuse issues. Lovely to have everyone working together to help each other, as is the spirit of this club. Every day is a school day on the sand! You must have felt like a manic octopus! My hat goes off to you.
  6. I am very disappointed that I will no longer be able to make it. I’ve been looking forward to this for a year. No thanks to QIC, the worst insurance ever, who have taken 3 weeks to issue an LPO for an accident where someone hit me in the rain in DECEMBER. Have fun guys, takes LOTS of pics for me
  7. They were fantastic, quality work on time for a very decent price. They will always be my first choice now., thank you for the recommendation! I mentioned you and made sure they remembered you by showing them a pic of your beast!
  8. Thank you @Gaurav for a thrilling and particularly educational drive! Thanks to mishearing the rerouting instructions, I found myself perched halfway down a pocket. Gaurav coached me through a cool little technique to create more of a sand cushion at the bottom, rolling down a little then braking hard to make sand fall into the pocket. Thanks to my convoymates for the shovelling as well. This was a fast drive, despite being quite technical and a long convoy. Gaurav set off with a "let's just follow the dunes" plan, and under his guidance we made it from Lisaili to Solar Park in just over four hours. Good fun and a lot learned!
  9. Well done, I thought it would be too dark!
  10. Hi @Mehmet Volga, sorry I won’t be able to make it tomorrow, hope those dunes are there!
  11. @Ignacio Quindós, could I trouble you to plesae send me the full quality version of this photo? I'd love to print it! If that's ok, my email is [email protected]
