  1. @Noufal I always switch to 'drive-mode = 'BAJA'' and just keep it in D always. update: once in baja mode you need to press and hold for at least 15 seconds the traction control button to fully disable all electronics related to traction AND stability control. You Do Not need a kill switch once engaged like this. ABS is disabled, and curtain airbags etc are disabled. the baja mode holds the gear you are in, and ensures that turbos are spooled up and ready to just GO as soon as you touch the pedal. just point the direction you want to go, and hit the accelerator.
  2. if I was buying again,.. I would still go for ranger. 😎 @Frederic is right,.. parts much more available for the Jeep(esp aftermarket accessories), but this is changing as more rangers get on the road and al tayer/ford are supporting parts better. I only had a 1 day wait for parts the last time i broke something. The CV axle is certainly the weak point compared to the solid axle... but i treat my car pretty harshly and it has held up mostly well to the punishment. I do get jealous when I see @ChrisW removing the roof and doors when driving his jeep though....😁 @JC_Eits actually fake news that i get crested on EVERY single drive... there has been one or two i have made it through without getting stuck 😜 TLDR; GET A RANGER!
  3. @Noufal congrats on the FB+ promotion! looking forward to seeing you on a FB+ soon!
  4. Congrats on the level up @Jerzi See you on a FB drive soon.

  7. @Suneedh Wrangler Sounds like you are all set! As long as your equipment works and fits for your car, it's perfect! Glad you got it sorted out quickly mate... See you on the next drive! 👍👍
  8. Good choice 😁Get a torque wrench from Amazon...and periodically keep your beadlocks torqued correctly! 😎
  9. Think you're gonna have to update your name to @WhiteRhinoEmanuel or something to stop these mix ups 😅 I've made the mistake a few times myself @Emanuel
  10. I personally wouldn't go back to non beadlocks... You'll appreciate them later if you already have a set. If they're not rubbing and causing trouble keep em. If too hard to get passing, switch and get a correct fitting set of beadlocks later 🙏
  11. i'd say better angle like you have drawn and try for a nice consistent speed to get up to the ridgeline,.. and just turn down early if you can feel you are not gonna make it, loop around, and try again. @DG707
  12. @Soap def take the kids on a couple of NB and FB drives first to get them used to it.. and going for a camp afterwards mine have done quite a lot but still are absolutely exhuasted by the end of a 4hr drive and starting to get cranky 😅
  13. no problems mate, plenty more coffee and tea drives planned before the weather gets too hot again. 💪
  14. every 10 minutes! ouch man!! Hope you manage to get a good sleep tonight to recover from it. At least we discovered the spare issue at the road-side.. and not 15km deep into the dunes 😁 could not have happened in a better place! See you again on the next one! @Suneedh Wrangler
  15. If you can get the ARB, you will never regret it. very fast and sturdy @Danie
  16. The evening opened with long, flowing lines across the broad, rounded dunes — the perfect warm‑up to settle everyone into rhythm. As the convoy found its groove, confidence grew quickly. Soon we were carving clean ridge rides and smooth criss‑crosses, the kind of driving that feels effortless when a group is fully in sync. A couple of quick refusals popped up, but they were handled exactly the way they should be: early reactions, turning down, no drama, no digging. That kind of awareness saves a lot of time and energy, and the team deserves credit for it. Balance was restored later when everyone got a turn shovelling my car after I managed to get myself nicely crested.. My usual position stuck on top. thanks @Infaz for the photo above 😁 @Hani crest kingdelivered an excellent Second Lead on his first attempt — clear communication, perfect spacing, and sharp responses to every call. A genuinely strong debut. Unfortunately @Noufal was suffering towards the end with motion sickness, and I hope you're feeling much better now. After a quick exit out, a handful of us re‑entered the dunes for a relaxed coffee break, only to discover a beadlock tyre with sand inside the inner bead that kept loosing pressure and was hissing. We got back to pavement and needed a full replacement. The entire team jumped in without hesitation, turning it into a smooth, collective effort. I hope @Suneedh Wrangler made it home safely afterward with minimum stops to reinflate. Please do go past the tyre shop and have them pull off your tyre, clean and remove sand, and refit it on your wheel. will be good as new again. Also please have them check your spare! @Eddie-Dune-Glider hope you enjoyed your first night drive! its certainly a very different feeling going through all the terrain in the dark. And as always, a big thank you to @ChrisW and @Sam Selim for their steady support throughout the drive. Everyone drove really well and it reflects in how much distance we covered whilst zigzagging through Fayah. Looking forward to the next coffee session... Hope to see you there! Thanks @Hani crest king @Infaz @Eddie-Dune-Glider @Noufal @ChrisW @Talal H @Suneedh Wrangler @Ash S. @Sam Selim P.S. Amazon Ramadan sales have started. If you dont have a jack, I strongly recommend taking advantage of the sales time to pickup a trolley jack. a 2.5 tonne or above is more then adequate for lifting one corner of our vehicles.
  17. Hey guys. New fence where we normally enter... Please see this pin about 200m further down the road then you can turn around and drive up the new path https://maps.app.goo.gl/pWhnvvGpTg1u8SM49
