  1. I am not sure if I can recommend a garage here but I've been in a similar situation as you - went to a few but was unhappy with the quality of work - so I will recommend one that my friends, non Jeep owners, use. it's CTO Garage. It's NOT Jeep specialist but they do know a fair bit about cars and so far have been reasonable with me!
  2. As a follow up, I got my engine oil tested post current service. This is after 5k kms and 55k kms of overall running. Seems like Aluminum and Iron levels are off the charts - almost 2x what they should’ve been at 28.5 And 36 ppm respectively. I am going to replace fhe PCV valve this weekend for good orders sake but is such a high number expected (my current source is ChatGPT and online forums). Any thoughts please. Thanks in advance.
  3. Aah ok.. Understood.. Thanks Marek! Thanks Gaurav. I had no idea about this so thanks very much for letting me know. I will read up on this and get it checked this weekend.
  4. Thank you @Marek for the advice. I am following all of the things you mentioned - clean filter post each drive + change it every 5k kms (replace it with a new one) along with engine oil/oil filter. However, the picture that you shared is on the dirty side of the filter and while I have sand there too, the pictures I clicked were on the clean side and towards the throttle body. I am guessing some sand will pass through regardless and will leave a coat in a year of usage will weekly driving correct? Thanks:)
  5. Hi, I recently got my car intake bellow (post the clean side of the engine air filter and leading to the intake manifold) opened at the workshop and found decent trances of sand. Upon physically touching it was like a fine past. Some pictures are attached. I understand that some sand will pass regardless of what I use, but still just wanted to see if anyone’s got any advice/thoughts. As a background – this is after 1 year of off-roading only with Carnity; I clean the filter after every drive + change it every 2ish months + have installed a snorkel for safety + basis physical inspection there appears to be no leak/punture in the parts. Thanks very much in advance.
  6. Apologies, I made a mistake. I confused dates and thought this drive is for Saturday so will need to withdraw. Hope you have a great drive!
  7. Many congratulations @J-P L! Look forwrad to seeing you in the desert soon!
  8. Thanks for the great drive @Emanuel Had a great time and the second part with bowls was a ton of fun!! Looking forward to many more drives under you!
  9. @DP1011 thanks for a great drive. Had a ton of fun and the drive towards the end with those large bowls was simply amazing!! Look forward to waking up at 3:30 am on weekends for such drives :)) Thanks @Andrew John Melvill , @Rob S and @Aser for the support and constant guidance throughout the drive!
  10. This looks like a study alternative. I am facing the same issue with mine which is tied down with duct tapes. Could you tell me where you got it done. Will visit them this weekend!
  11. @Emanuel congratulations for the well deserved recognition. Looking forward to many more drives with you
  12. Thanks for the fantastic Saturday morning drive this weekend @Benje_Junior The pace, location, switches over dunes – everything was fantastic and I had a genuinely great time. @Davie Smooth_Operator, @Aser, @Gary F and @J-P L – thanks for the guidance at the start and throughout the drive and for your help with the stuck and refusal. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
  13. Sorry there was a U turn at Altaf Road, which is closed so I have to drive an additional 20kms to reach and should be there by 6:35. Sorry for the delay.
  14. Thanks for accommodating everyone @Davie Smooth_Operator and @Benje_Junior. Just to be clear, the meeting time for both convoys is 6:30 am at the same location correct and there's no change to Benjie's time.
  15. That hit did come out of where but it was good to see that you were safe. Sorry about the damage on the car and hope its sorted out quickly and we see you on the next one
  16. Hi, I am guessing night lights are mandatory for this but can you please confirm?
  17. This is a fun topic. For me, it's definitely dune bashing by a big margin. There's something nice about hearing the engine roar as you climb a dune (especially the raptors with that exhaust), or feeling the car shift and slide as you switch ridges. The adrenaline rush and the bursts of intense focus are what make those early weekend mornings so exciting. I'd love to get into overlanding someday, but the lack of time—and not having a group of friends equally into it—makes it a bit of a challenge right now.
  18. Thanks very much @JeromeFJ for the fantastic and scenic drive. Thanks to the support team @Mike M., @Mehmet Volga and @Bjoern for the many recoveries and getting us out safely. It was a great start to the weekend. @JeromeFJ, also thanks for the patience and guidance on fighting gravity - the slide was very scary and hopefully, it doesn’t happen again. Thanks,
  19. Good morning. Apologies but I’ll also be slightly delayed. Realized I had forgotten the radio so rusted back. If not in time and you don’t want to wait then that’s perfectly fine too but I hope I’m not Not than 5-7 mins late.
  20. I just got the error for Aux Battery. Since I deactivate start/stop, I have no intention of changing it at all. However, I was under the impression that it will have no effect on car start. But reading the messages shows it does have an impact correct so I will have to get it changed as well.
  21. I'd vote for @Mark B's gladiator. Love the way it looks and the degree of customization done on it.
