Command & Controll🤪 Yes, the cargo barrier is easily removable, it does however provide some protection against objects thats not secured properly in the back, and prevents it from entering the passenger area

Here is a video from the guys down under, i find their content insightful and really helpful. They explain some of the report from the weakened crossmember below the radiotor that can cause damage. below is a picture of my skid plate installed, one of the firsts back in Jan 2025, never had any issues. And here is how its holding up a year later! 🫣

Looking forward to this one! Might even camp somewhere rather than drive back to Dubai at 2am🙉 Ancient Sony A6400 with some tamron lenses. Not the best for lowlight but i’m sure some delayed long exposure shots will do the trick… will def read up a little more!

Hi @RiiX Welcome to the club! The first question to ask yourself is whether you want a permanent solution or something removable. I initially went with a tube clamp attached to the roof rails. It worked for a while, but the rails on the 250 aren't round or square, so the contact surface is poor — mine failed after a few trips. A lot of offroad shops offer a workaround for this: a piece of flat iron bent to wrap around the roof rail and bolted into place. It's the most common solution I've seen. If you go this route, make sure the mount is rigid and solid — I've seen a few 250s with dents pressed into the roof from mounts that weren't up to the job. What I ended up doing is bolting a piece of flat bar directly into my roof rack. Much sturdier, and I haven't had any issues since. Happy to answer any questions you might have!

Jeep vs RR is basically choosing between a mountain goat and a caffeinated cheetah. Both are built to get you into places you probably shouldn’t be, they just disagree on the correct speed to do it. A Wrangler is the classic “proper 4x4” vibe. It’s happiest when things get slow, technical, and awkward—rocks, ruts, steep climbs, and that whole crawl-and-commit lifestyle, but also very capable in the sand. It also has that weirdly addictive Jeep charm: doors off, roof off, endless customization, and the sense that you’re driving something that belongs in the bush more than the mall parking lot. It’s not always the calmest thing on-road, but it feels purpose-built and unapologetic. @ChrisW can attest to this... A RR is more like a factory-built off-road weapon you can live with every day. It’s comfortable, planted, and thrives on the fast, rough stuff—dunes, gravel, desert tracks, corrugations—where you want the suspension to do the thinking while you just point it at the horizon and grin. It’s also a “truck” in the practical sense, which is either a huge win or an annoyance depending on whether you like the truck-bed lifestyle. @Luke K P will also say that the Raptor is most at home on the top of a crest, while providing adequate "shovel-time" for everyone around. So yeah… both are solid choices. The deciding factor is simple and annoyingly adult; what is the purpose of the vehicle for you, don't rush into any decisions, do tons - and I mean TONS of research to make an informed decision.
