  15. I too was in a dilemma to switch to 265/70/R17 or 265/65/R17. The 70 tyres do rub the plastic cladding on the behind when turned full and the car is on incline. I have changed by front bumper so there will be no rubbing at the front. I went to two garages. One went the whole hog; remove the plastic bits and also do a chop job behind the plastic cladding. Another workshop recommended removing the plastic cladding alone and it should suffice. Both said once the car is lifted, all of these issues will be sorted. I chose to go with 65 but from an aesthetic point of view, 70s looks much cooler as it fills the wheel well. 65s are made in Japan and they do not have the white decals. They are black on both sides. Since its a recommended size by Toyota, its more widely available. 70s are made in Thailand. They have white decals on one side and slightly harder to source compared to 65s
