It was there in big news today VW name in international market with a big shame on hiding stuff affecting the public health. Something very similar done by GM few years back that got caught by an insider whistle blower once he left the job, and GM attracted huge fines. History repeating.

Darker is better actually and if cheaper tint is darker then you must have chosen 50% than 30% in case of 3M. Usual complain that I had with cheaper tint was it fades in 6-8 months and and goes almost bye-bye in 2 years time. And for AC offcourse Merc is better than Pajero, as many friends in my office always complain of Pajero border-line cooling on the extreme temp.

This seems too far to go to gain control and standardise the service interval, that has too little control from law or social obligation in the car industry.

Well this used to be the case with the high class tinting in the past, now no company is using metallic components in the film to block signals. I am using 3M crystalline since 2 years without any issue in mobile or GPS signal.

City is small and dinky for hi-speed roads, though Civic is not very big but still every inch bigger on hi-speed road makes a huge difference. My two cents.

Danny is quiet right if all the fuses and relays are fine and front AC is working fine, there is two more things I think you need to do it yourself before seeing a mechanic/electrician. 1) Check the rear AC power control switch and see if you can access it from behind to check and loose connection. 2) Same in front control panel for swicthing on/off the rear AC.

Is this self learning car or driverless cars? These are two different things afaik. I vote for self learning car to evolve the drivers experience, but driverless cars I would still not vote 100% until this technology gets fully matured and become 100% safe and secure from cybercrimes.

What I meant is only for testing and spraying water or WD40 is not bad or risky to test if belt is the actual culprit. When belt rubber dries up it makes this squeaking noise, and when water or WD 40 sprayed it will moist the rubber for 15-20 minutes in proving the belt change is must or not. We don't know the actual noise and it's hard to comment 100% without hearing anything.

You can actually repair that crack with resin or plastic epoxy from Ace hardware. It will definitely look slightly more ugly but it will prevent further increasing the crack. If you are cover dashboard with mat like fabric cover then it's not a problem.

Sounds like a whin from some belt especially AC compressor side, I think in bimmer's there is only one serpentine belt unlike japanese cars, where each component runs on a separate belt. Try spraying some water or WD40 on that belt after starting the car and then drive off and see if same whin comes or not....? If it doesn't it means belt need a replacement and if it's still whin my second doubt is AC compressor is getting old and scream when cold (more expensive than belt replacement). Good luck.

Well I think personally SUV is better in Dubai due to high speed roads and SUV for a female driver is better in case of accident or damage will keep you safe at least. Second point, most of UAE outdoor part is offroad and you might regret your decision after few months when you make good friends and want to step away from mall hopping. This mall hopping is short live face and soon you will get over with it and want to explore some mountain or sand drives, bbq get together in colder months etc.

OMG, just two months back I changed the air suspension ballon and now today again EAS failure shown on dash for no reason as all suspension was in good height and I switched off the car and called mechanic for 5-10 mins and started again and that error message disappear. It didn't appear again in evening so I am little lost now as to what to doubt and why at first place I have seen that in morning..... I so wish I should have listen to Taqir advise and gone to coil or Gaurav with Arnott. I checked arnott rates but that was way too expensive with shipping to Dubai and that's why I went with OEM replacement from sharjah market. I hope it's not ballon again (damn expensive). Please help guys, what to do and how to reproduce that error message again to see what is wrong?

Indeed a great car and up until 2007 models, severely affected with weak gear box and clutch. I repaired mine in 2005 model in less than 100k on the clock. Overall it's comfy and smooth ride for great value.

Brandan: Take it easy bud, it's more of fun thing watching such stuff and Jacsparo started a nice kicker for same. You had a valid concern for plastic covers, but not many have them and leave rest other damn curious to know how their @$$ is not getting sweated in this 45 degree by sitting on plastic cover.
