Congratulations @Infaz for joining the Support Team with Carnity Offroad Club! From early on we could see your enthusiasm and your willingness to help people during the drives. That's why it comes as no surprise that a Support Team role is a perfect fit for you! We are proud and happy to have you joining Team Carnity and look forward for your future growth in Carnity! SUPPORT TEAM Pre-requisite 1) Minimum 10 any level "Carnity" drives are required after your Intermediate promotion to become eligible for the Support Team. Once you decide to join Team Carnity to excel further with your off-roading, people, and commanding skills, you will be extensively trained by the whole Team Carnity from Expert - Marshal - Crew at various stages by supporting different levels drives. Activities for Support Team Members Support different Marshals and Crew at Newbie level drives to demonstrate: Your ability and willingness to support new off-roaders. Ability to gain control of commanding situations. And clear communication skills to help manage the convoy. Possible progress toward becoming an Advisor Once you have proved to be a regular Supporting Team member and have supported different trip leads on several Newbie and Fewbie drives, we will gather your periodic feedback. Based on this feedback and reviews you might receive an invitation to become a Carnity Advisor for further advancement within our community. You will also need to have completed a minimum of 5 Intermediate Level drives, and be a regular club member (minimum supporting 6 Newbie or Fewbie drives per quarter) to become eligible. Being invited to an Advisor role means we put our faith in you as a passionate club member who displays maturity and passion to carry your knowledge on to new off-roaders who are still progressing through the ranks.

Infaz started following Fuses - ABS/TC and Airbags
-
Sure @Frederic On the RAM, @Imran Asghar you should have two separate kill switches, and I believe that’s what you have installed: Kill Switches 1. Airbag – a separate kill switch. 2. Traction Control/ABS – a separate kill switch. For the airbag, the connection can be taken from the seatbelt circuit or another airbag related wire. For traction control/ABS, it can be taken from: Traction/ABS 1. Fuse box (This works for my car) 2. Directly from an ABS sensor. (This doesn't work for most of the cars) On some RAMs, taking the connection directly from the ABS sensor can prevent you from engaging 4WD totally. I actually tried this on mine once, when I was investigating a thudding sound that eventually turned out to be coming from the front differential. But when I connected it through the ABS sensor, I couldn’t engage 4WD at all. However, in your case, if you have two separate kill switches and you have (Traction/ABS done through the fuse box) the truck only drops back into 2WD when you’re stuck or applying a lot of power, I would be more suspicious of an issue with the transfer case or the 4WD system itself. My thinking is that if the kill switch were the main issue, you’d expect to see problems engaging 4WD totally or while during normal 4WD driving as well, rather than it happening only under heavy load. When you try to push harder may be it slips. That said, it’s difficult to rule out an electrical issue without checking the fault codes and wiring, especially with the check engine light on. I’d get those checked before concluding that it’s the transfer case.

@Imran Asghar let's try to tackle the issue you faced yesterday and update this topic. @Infaz as you are driving high level drives with the RAM, could you clarify how you disable the airbags and traction control? Imran had kill switches installed for disabling both but found the car going back in 2WD during a stuck situation. Check Engine Light was also on, so we suspect the kill switches (installed by dealer) are throwing the RAM into a tantrum.

What a great morning out @Vanessa8580, and everyone that joined in support of this important cause. It was so good to see all the new faces, especially the ladies behind the wheel - please keep on joining future club drives! Thank you @Radhika for the yoga session on top of pink rock, which was more a 'hot yoga' session, and getting the joints moving and 'creaking' for some of us - please share the pictures you took of our poses. @Radhika, you persevered with your Jimny and with @Frederic showing how capable that little machine really is, I hope you continue to drive and enjoy it to the fullest. Also thank you @Vanessa8580 for entrusting me with my 'first' second lead and hope I did the job well. Thank you for all the pictures @Mike M., you should add Drive Photographer to your list of expertise now. Nadia and I hope to see you all again soon on the sand! -

It should have been a power-packed start to today’s drive, but the weather had other ideas. Instead, we found ourselves crawling through some technical terrain in very soft sand, blinded by thick fog. A wet layer sitting on top of powdery sand made everything slippery and unpredictable, with a few refusals and short breaks needed along the way. Eventually the sun burnt through the fog and the terrain opened up into a really nice rollercoaster section, criss-crossing ridges and taking some loose lines. 😎 We then pushed through a fence section with the difficulty turned up a notch, before finding some nice big sidie climbs and a bit of ridge riding. After that, we stopped for some tyre maintenance and somehow managed to hear @Frederic and @Vanessa8580 on the radio from around 140 km away. Very mysterious. I’m officially claiming that as a CARNITY record for the longest handheld radio transmission. 😂 We finished with one last spin, finally getting up onto a ridge I’d already had a few attempts at earlier in the drive. We took the win and headed out at 10:00. Great driving from everyone in some genuinely challenging conditions. Looking forward to seeing you all again in a couple of weeks. @ChrisW @_Herman_ @Mahmut @Myrko @Giacomo @Infaz -

Thank you @Mark B for a great morning out with some amazing flowing dunes. My confidence on these drives with longer flowing dunes has improved substantially, which makes me want to do even more. Thank you for helping me out when I was in a picle sideways on a very soft dune, the blip method really helped straighten out my back end, which made the recovery not that scary after all, although the tone in my voice was a dead giveaway. I practiced playing manually with my gears and boy does it make a difference. Thank you everyone for the pleasant morning! -

Thank you @Emanuel for the lovely afternoon drive and for agreeing to upgrade to FB+. We sure had a lot of bumpiness for the first half but that was followed by some great play areas which was loads of fun. I sure learned a lot about my vehicle on the technical bits (the pesky bushes), and thank you for helping me practice climbing steps, even if it took a few tries at times. Navigating my own lines through these sections with my long wheelbase is surely something I will practice more. It is the first time I had to use my kinetic rope on my own vehicle and looking back at the video I took away the importance of synchronising the 'pull' with rotating of wheels, the first try you pulled and I was too late but the second one was spot on. We saw some amazing cloud formations and with the sunset lighting them up made for spectacular views.
