Thank you all for signing up to this drive! I am happy to announce that @Sam Selim will be leading this drive. I am sure this will be a fun morning out and with the weather cooling down a bit this means we can take a few breaks along the way and enjoy the scenery.

Some pointers for tomorrow:

1. Please try to arrive by 6.15AM so you have time left to deflate and set up your flag.

2. You can deflate to 14psi if you have HT (Highway tires) or to 12psi if you have AT (All Terrain tires). Feel free to approach any of us to help out.

3. We will be using channel 10 on the walkie talkies: 446.231 Mhz

The plan is to go and visit the famous Falaj Al Mualla watchtower, then proceed North towards Ras Al Khaimah, effectively covering 3 emirates in one morning :) . We will eventually loop back and exit in Falaj Al Mualla (which belongs to Umm Al Quwain).

See you all in the morning!

We promised slow and technical and i think we all had a blast this morning!

This terrain and area is usually more used for our scenic drives, but once in a while we venture in the technical dunes and got great feedback from our members that it holds nice challenges, like soft sand, steep climbs and descents, and overall needs focus and good momentum.

This was the main objective of today: to create a blend of our scenic drives, where we would use the existing farm tracks, and also venture into those narrow bushy dunes as well.

We all came out on the other end with big smiles thanks a fantastic lead. For @Sam Selimthis terrain was new but it never showed: he rerouted where needed, found smooth lines even in those narrowest of spots, and kept the long convoy moving. The help of @JC_E and @Thomas54675 amongst the convoy was a big help as well, and @khurramm kept an eagle eye over us from the back with regular updates.

Of course we had some refusals and stucks, and this was the plan all along. We soldiered on and kept a big smile, and that's what these drives are meant for. I hope you all enjoyed it and we will definitely be back in that area: there's much more to see over there.

Thanks for the legendary driving demostration @Frederic!!!! a very different ride compared to previous trips! I really enjoyed! following your tracks @Sam Selim!!

Well i need to mention this was involving a bit of luck: As my other half drove several years with the same Pajero we started to understand what they can do, so when i see a stuck Pajero i turn into a stubborn man they wants to explore every option to get it out by itself. The 3.8 model comes with the rear difflock and once engaged it can do wonders.
