@Looper, hello. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to the drive this weekend. I have updated my RSVP status to free the slot. I will catch the drive the coming weekend. Thank you.

@Mohammad Javed, @Sandeep Padhi, @Harish M, @Sam_, @Nagarjun S, @_Herman_

Hope you're all having a good weekend. Tomorrow morning we're heading out to Al Qudra for an easy run into the dunes. Nothing hardcore, just a chance to enjoy the desert on what should be a lovely autumn morning.

We'll meet right after sunrise and head east from there. Along the way we'll try a few easy techniques, and I'll share what dune driving means to me, plus some etiquette and tips to keep things fun and safe.

See you out there! 🏜️

we will follow the convoy order at all times:

1. Looper as lead

2. Sandeep as second lead

3. Harish

4. Javed

5 Nagararjun

6. Sam

7. Herman will be the sweep.

We will start the drive as Channel 4 (446.08125).

Arrive at around 6:30, we will head out by 6:45 max. See you all in the morning.

@Looper sorry, I have to drop out of tomorrow's drive. Had a tyre/valve issue with the Tank this evening and parts only arrive tomorrow. Please give my slot to someone on the waitlist. Looking forward to the next one!

Drive Report:
Overall it was a bit of a fast drive for the level, and everyone did very well. Qudra has got greener, but thankfully it still has something left to redeem, with plenty of options to drive on the long ridges.

Sandeep @Sandeep Padhi: Big thanks for the second lead. You kept the right distance, drove very nicely, and helped tug Nagarjun out. Please get a kinetic rope and soft shackles, though. Your current ones are for tarmac and not fit for the desert.

Rachid @Rachid: Drove very nicely on your Patrol and always looked confident.

Javed @Mohammad Javed: Fantastic with his FJ Cruiser.

Nagarjun @Nagarjun S: You had some refusals and stucks but managed well towards the end. With more practice you will do much better.

Sam @Sam_: Had to exit early as his passenger got sick. Hope to see you soon.

Herman @_Herman_: Thanks for the support at the back. I also noticed you explaining a few finer points to Nagarjun. Much appreciated.

Thanks @Looper for a wonderful drive today in Qudra. The desert in this part of Dubai still has charm for offroad enthusiasts. Great lead and it was fun doing the loops 🙂. I have taken a note with regard to the tow gear and will invest in this soon. Thanks everybody for a wonderful ride and enjoy rest of the weekend ahead!!
