razi55
HI, My Pajero 2008 suffering from " middle diff light, starts blinking after 30 kms and goes off when I switch the jeep off and re-start". As advised by mechanics, the transfer case oil has been replaced but no change. They are saying to change the Transfer case......OMG, how lethal are they..... But some say, its just an electrical fault. Please guide. Regards, Razi 0506554313
Baraz
The guy who advised to change the transfer case is damn idiot. This is purely electrical or sensor issue, if you get the car error code scan then it will point you in right direction. Any good sane mechanic can do OBD diagnostic in less than 150 dhs and pin point the exact cause.
Barry
If the transfer case oil was dirty, a piece of grit could have got into the sensor and jammed it. I've seen it happen before on pajeros. It's just a matter of taking the sensor out, cleaning it with some petrol and freeing it up. Test it with a multimeter first before refitting it and make sure it's working properly. Of course, this might not be the problem but it's better to try the cheap and easy fixes first.
