Hi everyone,

I’d appreciate your thoughts on a quote I received for my pajero 2010. one of the issues i am facing is with my my steering—it’s stiff and makes noises whenever I turn left or right.

I've attached some photos that the garage provided. 

Appreciate your opinion on this.

Looks like valid points to me, but not always easy to spot on the photos as mechanics will look for excessive play which is something we cannot do here 😅

So many diff maintenance in one go, seems not related unless you've recently bought this Pajero.

Especially these 3 out of the below ones.

@Pats would recommend to go for a new steering rack than a rebuilt one… rebuilt ones don’t seem to last very long, especially with off-roading… the price quoted is too high as well.. also better to buy OEM parts yourself from Mitsubishi…

Thank you so much for your help, everyone! @Gaurav, that’s exactly what I was thinking. It seems the issue might just be with the power steering pump, so I may not need to get into rebuilding or repairing the steering rack.

@GauravSoni , to be honest, this is the fifth garage I’ve visited. It feels like everyone’s trying to take advantage in some way. The lack of transparency in this industry is really frustrating. That’s why I was asking for a recommendation for a garage you guys trust-someone who’s honest and does quality work, regardless of the cost. I really hope you guys can help me with this in a private message or anyway possible.
