9122Ethan
When I am leaving my driveway or when I am driving in parking lots at a low speed my steering wheel groans. It doesn't do it when driving around.

Gaurav
Check the power steering oil level, if it's low, then the steering makes a humming and groan noise while steering under low speed. On highway speed pump pressure is high, so even a little low oil won't make any humming noise. Steering oil aka PSF - Power Steering Fluid. Let's root for each other & watch each other grow. Mac Daddy
Hey folks, I had the same issue with my Challenger, and it is easy to fix. The groan noise is coming from where the steering column goes through the rubber firewall sealing boot (at least in my case). If you go up under the steering wheel/dash, you just have to partially remove a cover by removing to plastic button fasteners (they make a tool for this which makes it much easier to remove these). You can move a portion of the cover just enough to see where the steering column goes through the firewall, spray the rubber boot where the steering column goes through with WD40 and voila, the groan goes away. This only takes 5-10 minutes.
