Then surely it's locked and diff indicator on dashboard isn't working correctly.

Disengage the diff lock with the button. Move car slowly front and reverse 5 meter, you might hear mechanical clank gentle noise once for disengaging. Once you hear that noise move car sharp left or right to check.

Thanks Gaurav. The guys have narrowed it down to the sway bar which is bent and seems to be brushing against the wheel while turning. Looks like the differential is fine.

Among the bad issues this is good news! I’m relieved for you mate! 😮‍💨 fingers crossed no more surprises. Make the most of having the car in the garage and check every nook and cranny.
