Good afternoon,

Thank you for joining this drive, for your attentiveness, and feedback. All of which were very much appreciated.

This was my second time leading a convoy and it was an amazing experience. You all drove extremely well through a variety of terrains. We had minor refusals and successful reattempts though these were few in numbers.

Everyone showed up early, which is always appreciated especially now it's getting hot out there.  We started with a briefing and then entered the sands with Fred leading until we reached Pink Rock. Once we got to Pink Rock we took a short break and watched two other clubs playing on the long hill climbs just south of the usual PInk Rock crossing. There were several examples of unsafe driving practice for us to talk about. At this point, I began leading the convoy. We easily crossed Pink Rock and then made our way to Camel Hill where we went down and up and around again a couple of times before moving on. We played in a couple of patches of medium sized dunes before staring to make our way to Little Red and Big Red, where we went up and down a few times and played around on the top while minding the other clubs in the area. We exited at the usual point along the E44 and the Desert Adventures operator camps.

Thank you @Frederic for your guidance and support on this drive. Very much appreciated. Also, thanks to @Andrei S for Sweeping to make sure we were all together and accounted for. 

It was great to meet you again @Zsolt and @essam ibrahim. You both drove well today. @Zsolt hopefully there are easy fixes for the traction control and ABS disablement and a fix for your gearing issue.

Here is our route and some stats from our drive today. We covered an amazing 51 km in 3 hours which is pretty good for a FB drive. The elevation profile shows some decent amount of dune explorations and some really nice hill climbs.

This was really a splendid morning out with wonderful people.  Pink Rock was quite busy, but at all times @Emanuelkept us safe by keeping enough distance from the other convoys, and showcasing a smooth flow and pace, which meant hardly any refusals or stucks. 

Looking forward doing this again! Hats off again to @Zsolt for completing the full drive while in second gear and limited to 3krpm. That's a stunning achievement and we would never have noticed that something was wrong with the car.

@Andrei S super sweeping and @essam ibrahim always ready with a smile. What a great team.
