DRIVE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Carnity off road club Newbie drive, meeting at Qudra, please ensure your off-road gear is as per your rank and you bring lots of enthusiasm and an abundance of willingness to learn with you.

Drive Details

Level:  Newbie and above

Meeting time: 6:30 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water & snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Mandatory off-road gears: Newbie and above, Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, Intermediate and above, Tow Rope and 2 soft Shackles.

Note: Please ensure that all of your off-road gear is securely tied down with ratchet straps in the rear compartment of the vehicle. Bungy type tie downs are not suitable for tying down off-road gear.

Approximate finish time: 10:30 AM

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.
 

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 1 PM.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

• Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details.
• Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets.

Hello Davie and team! I'm excited to take part in this desert drive!

I've dabbled in some mud offroading in an older Toyota Hilux and a Mitsubishi Montero Sport. The main points I learnt were to keep calm, maintain momentum and not fight the terrain. The drive this weekend will be my first sand experience.

Got myself all the required gear. Brown 2017 Pajero LWB 3.8l - Stock.

@UvinOverland thanks for the insight just a couple of other points to confirm please prior to teh drive 

Please confirm the following:

- You have fitted and fit for purpose solid front and rear tow hooks

- Please confirm you have completed the reading material and watched the video in the main drive post prior to joining the drive

- Please confirm you have a radio programmed to all 9 Carnity channels and a safety flag.

Please confirm the following prior to the drive:

- Car make, model, color

- Confirm you have 10-inch front and rear ground clearance 

- Your car is All or 4wheel drive 

- You have fitted and fit for purpose solid front and rear tow hooks

- Please share your previous offroad experience (if any)

- Please confirm you have completed the reading material and watched the video in the main drive post prior to joining the drive

- Please also confirm you have a compressor, radio programmed to all 9 Carnity channels and a safety flag.

Hi, i have a Nissan Patrol 2023 Y62 - v6 platinum. Blue color. 
 

car has clearance and is a 4x4. 
i have some offroading experience but its been a while. 
 

i am just waiting for my safety flag. Rest all good.

- yes read and watched 

- I'll go through the post on this and program it before the drive

- yes, got myself a safety flag that's 2m tall

Hi Davie 

Yes to all. 

I would say I have moderate experience over last 5-6 years with private groups/ friends. 

I just need to programme the radio frequencies. 

Looking forward to my first drive with carnity and meeting you guys.
