nawaz Posted May 24, 2011 Report Share Posted May 24, 2011 my engine oil seems to be burning out and i want to know how do i stop it. the 1st time i smelled it i stopped driving the car. one of the car service guys at the petrol station advised some kind of a liquid to rectify the issue but i didnt go for it what should i be doing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
harrypotter Posted May 26, 2011 Report Share Posted May 26, 2011 Oil burning in combustion chamber means that the piston rings are worn out and not sealing the oil and combustion chamber enough. I personally dont know any shortcut to fix other than changing the piston ring itself. Delay might severe the case, so dont drive for sure.
