which tool required to replace rear trunk shocks ?

its my first american car and it seems the tools used here are different than on European cars.

I want to replace the rear boot shocks but i don't have the right tool it seems. What do i need exactly for that?

Normal thin screwdriver is enough.

Look at the base of shock and you will see small clip, pluck that grip out and shock absorber will come out. Then stick the new one just by pushing as it will automatically lock the grip once positioned properly. So after sticking it try to pull out and it should lock in its palce. If not try again.

that is working for the glass shocks but not for the trunk shocks as they are fixed with 2 screws each, found out that 6mm metric ir 1/4 inch does the job...
