Brake not working

Hi Everyone

I ahev Nissan sunny manual transmission from 3 years. Suddenly the brake of the cars are taking time to react and the jerk comes after 3 secs of the action. I am really scared when this happens. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Did you car had an accident recently?And may be the brake pads are loose in your car that's why they are is no reaction of the brake pads on time. And did you ever get the brake pads changed before? If not, then may be its the time.
