is it the starter rely switch

my 1998 boxter is not cranking could this be the fault of a starter relay switch.

i would have taken it to the dealer but they may quote me more the a weeks time and i dont have that kinda time

any advise is thankful

Not starting involve lack of one or more of following things: Fuel, Air and spark.

I would start with starter relay to change, Check air filter is clean and not clogged, Spark plug healthy and firing, Fuel filter is not choked. if still didnt start the car after making sure (or changing if required) above said things are fine.

Then i would doubt starter itself, fuel pump, Spark plugs and ignition coils.
