Leaking freeze plug

Heyall. The freeze plug in my car engine is leaking. no idea why. But can anyone tell me how to fix it. can i do it on my own or do i need to go to service station?

If you wanna fix it temporarily, the clean the complete surface of the free plug first. One it is nicely cleaned, use a sand paper and sand the surface lightly. Doing this, the plug will be sealed and wont leak next time.

I would suggest you to replace it permanently. For temporarily fixing, the leaking will stop for sometime, but when it leaks again, it will completely damage the freeze plug. Its better for you to replace it permanently. I did the same once. i fixed it temporarily, but i ended up paying for the replacement as well.
